Lost In The World. A year, a backpack, and the world. Where I’ve Been. May 1, 2014. Getting my first real taste of the Middle East. I’ve been to Dubai for a day, to Istanbul for ten, and in Turkey for almost four weeks. I’ve seen loads of minarets, and I’ve passed countless women with head coverings. I’ve eaten kebaps on the street and I’ve passed stall after stall in numerous bazaars. But up until now I didn’t really feel like I had totally arrived in the Middle East. I love the feeling of looking at a map and realizing that so near is a place I’ve always wanted to go, and I only need to hop on a bus or a train and be there. In Turkey, still looking at the map and the places I want to go, my options are limited. I spent 6 weeks in Turkey and I have all of these photos to prove it. Japanese cities are ugly.
