Travel Around The Clock

Travel Around The Clock. About us and contacts. Tuesday, 14 October 2014. Spending your honeymoon in Egypt. Are you really sure you want to get married? Well, then the next step is choosing your honeymoon destination! I personally believe one of the best option is Egypt. Thanks to its geographical position in the northeast of Africa, Egypt is characterized by low annual rainfall and sunshine all year round, with temperatures that rarely fall below 20°C. A holiday in Egypt. By the wonderful coral reef.

Travel Around The Clock: Paris for art lovers: Centre Pompidou

http://travelaroundtheclock.blogspot.com/2014/09/paris-for-art-lovers-centre-pompidou.html

Travel Around The Clock. About us and contacts. Monday, 8 September 2014. Paris for art lovers: Centre Pompidou. One of the first differences I immediately noticed between London and Paris is that Paris museums are not free, which is quite sad for someone like me that likes quite a lot spending a few hours looking at artworks and learning a bit more about art. But there's a little trick if you want to feed your passion without going bankrupt: some of the most important sites, such as the Orsay. But my fa...

Travel Around The Clock: French driving habits

http://travelaroundtheclock.blogspot.com/2014/09/french-driving-habits.html

Travel Around The Clock. About us and contacts. Wednesday, 10 September 2014. Italians are well known for their anarchic and crazy driving habits, and anytime anyone tells me about it, I don't even make the effort to deny it because it is simply the truth. Especially in the cities) are wild drivers and too often disrespectful of any driving rules (or common sense). The road is a jungle to us (I'm including myself only for nationality reasons)! Are not less undisciplined than us. I'd like to point out tha...

Travel Around The Clock: Versailles or not Versailles; that is the question!

http://travelaroundtheclock.blogspot.com/2014/09/versailles-or-not-versailles-that-is.html

Travel Around The Clock. About us and contacts. Tuesday, 16 September 2014. Versailles or not Versailles; that is the question! We are going to be on the move again very soon, so I am determined to make the most of our time in Paris and to visit as much as possible of what this extraordinary city can offer in terms of art and history. Had to be on the list: isn't it one of the most significant touristy destinations in Paris? So, we bought tickets. In the main palace, making it almost impossible to clearl...

Travel Around The Clock. About us and contacts. Sunday, 28 July 2013. Dining and Wining in Ithaka. Here we are, as promised, once again to talk about the quiet island of Ithaka. This time we thought it could have been useful to chat about food, wine and restaurants. Just the basic information to survive in case any of you is going there soon. Let me start from the place we liked the least that was called Sirines. Lovely location on a pedestrian internal square of Vathi but not an experience to repeat.

Travel Around The Clock: October 2013

http://travelaroundtheclock.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Travel Around The Clock. About us and contacts. Saturday, 26 October 2013. Italy off the beaten track: Farnese! Italy is our home and it's as well the country we both decided to leave because, even being such an amazing place, extraordinarily rich in art, history and natural beauty, it is, unfortunately, in a very dark phase in terms of economy, culture and most important politics. Anyway, this is not the place to talk about this so let's move on. Nowadays not that much is left of that prestigious histor...

And to prove you this I'll tell you about few wines that I have tasted recently. Let's start with bubbles. And, to shuffle cards, let's choose it English! And Blanc de Noir. Blanc de Noirs 2009. Let's follow with something that was missing from the first wine. Some Chardonnay, from Australia this time. Let's finish with...

I drink therefore I am.(but I also cook and eat, read and listen to music, travel and write about all of the above! Thursday, 22 August 2013. I have been a little bit skeptical about Portuguese wines for quite a long time. I had read they were either greenish white wines (vinhos verde) produced with unripe and unflavoured grapes or dense, thick, excessively heavy reds. With the exception of Port, Portuguese wines didn't seem to be that appealing to me. Then I tasted some of them. And I changed my mind.

In my strongly opinionated wine world, to be honest, Sangiovese. Has never had a special place. Nobody knows precisely when and where the recipe originates but there is no doubts that when it comes to aperitifs and more specifically to Aperol Spritz, Verona is the place to be. It may just be the lively atmosphere of all those bars in front of the Arena or in Piazza Erbe, but this drink just taste perfect there! Has written about it.
