Traveling Blauws

The retired life: grandchildren, reading, gardening, CRWRC work, traveling- it's all good. Tuesday, November 02, 2010. We've changed our site to http:/ www.travelingblauws.wordpress.com/. Posted by Len and Carrie. Sunday, October 31, 2010. For some reason the photos I loaded earlier disappeared- all but one. So I've put 2 others back, but our connection here is super-slow, making the blog process very tedious. So I need to figure out a better way to do this. Maybe at an internet cafe. Sunday, May 09, 2010.

Traveling Blauws: Loving the sunshine

http://www.travelingblauws.blogspot.com/2010/05/loving-sunshine.html

The retired life: grandchildren, reading, gardening, CRWRC work, traveling- it's all good. Sunday, May 09, 2010. We'll come home this Friday afternoon, stay around to celebrate Andrew's second birthday, and then leave for the East Coast on Monday. We hope to organize several Needs Assessments while we're out there. The schedule's a little crazy, but we definitely aren't getting bored :-). The tile floor in our room is kind of slick so we bought some baby socks for the crutches. Fiesta night at the hotel.

The retired life: grandchildren, reading, gardening, CRWRC work, traveling- it's all good. Saturday, April 03, 2010. This morning we went on a "rail" walk at Anahuac NWR. Rails are pretty elusive birds who live in marshy areas. Twenty of us walked up and down through knee-high wet sharp-edged grass for about an hour and finally flushed one. It flew right past me, not more than a few inches from my shoulder. Very exciting! Posted by Len and Carrie. Enjoy your remaining days and we are eager to see you!

Annette's room- and Chris and Allyson's room- and Laurie's room. Living room, with napping tourist. View from our second floor patio. Posted by Len and Carrie. Judy and Denny Stoel. Traveling Blauws: Back on the Sofa Again

http://www.travelingblauws.blogspot.com/2010/04/back-on-sofa-again.html

The retired life: grandchildren, reading, gardening, CRWRC work, traveling- it's all good. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Back on the Sofa Again. My initial fear was that my summer activities were ruined but although tennis and softball probably won't happen, I should be able to start doing some bicycling by mid July. Next week Tuesday we fly to Florida for a week of laying by the pool and then a 3 day conference in Orlando with other voluntary relief organizations. The arm bandages are for various scrapes.

Just another WordPress.com site. November 14, 2010. Our first 2 weeks in Antigua have been plenty busy–classes for me, sightseeing and housework :). God has blessed the USA. Chesapeake Bay RV, Gloucester, Virginia. August 10, 2015. The small community of Gloucester, near the York River and the Chesapeake Bay, is saturated with U.S. history and deep heritage. The settlement was established just after Jamestown in 1607.
