Happy Teachers: October 2008
http://hollypreston.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
A much happier person with a much happier life! Sunday, October 26, 2008. The problem with being and extrovert is that I feel like there are no random things that you all don't already know, but here goes. Here are the rules:. 1 Post the rules on your blog. 2 Write 6 random things about yourself. 3 Tag 6 people at the end of your post. 4 If you are tagged, just do it, and pass the tag along! Because you can get black jellybeans. That's actually one of the only things I like about Halloween. And Corrina a...

The Sojourner Chronicle: The Choice 2012
http://sojournerchronicle.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-choice-2012.html
Monday, November 05, 2012. This feels short and simplistic, but longer disquisitions are likely to go unread and become overly complicated. I’m unlikely to be swayed by arguments attempting to change my mind on these issues before tomorrow: what I’m trying to decide is which presidential candidate I would be happier to see in office. You know what gets my goat, though? I haven’t figured that out yet. What is it that ultimately scares me? So: what do I do on Tuesday? I love this, and I appreciate your gen...

A much happier person with a much happier life! Sunday, March 22, 2009. The good news is that I will still have health insurance. I told you all in my last post that I was going to try to focus on the positive so, here goes. Even if I lose my job we will still have health insurance with Tim's job. I realize how much that is worth in this day and age so I am truly thankful. BTW - I am so excited that Nathan Fillion has a new show! This is my happy place today. Praying for the job situation Holly!

Squishy Footprints: Are You Smarter Than an Almost-3-Year-Old?
http://squishyfootprints.blogspot.com/2009/05/are-you-smarter-than-almost-3-year-old.html
Get out of my brain. You're leaving squishy footprints." - both fex. Monday, May 18, 2009. Are You Smarter Than an Almost-3-Year-Old? Observations from babysitting Odin, which is a brand new experience every time. My understanding is that some of the rules which I have documented here are fairly consistent, while others change depending on the babysitter. or the weather. or the moment. :o). ODIN’S RULES for SATURDAY, MAY 16th*. 7 Sometimes trucks and trains take precedence over silly things… like d...

Squishy Footprints: An Open Letter
http://squishyfootprints.blogspot.com/2010/07/open-letter.html
Get out of my brain. You're leaving squishy footprints." - both fex. Friday, July 16, 2010. I would like to remind you that you are NOT in charge of the universe. Furthermore, I repudiate your attempts at world domination. Stop it, just stop it. You’re embarrassing yourself. You are not entitled to dictate the terms of my whole life. While I may not be able to entirely prevent your interference in certain aspects, this does not give you grounds to take over entirely. I am henceforth reclaiming control ov...

Squishy Footprints: April 2009
http://squishyfootprints.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Get out of my brain. You're leaving squishy footprints." - both fex. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Give Peeps a Chance. I'm the Goose Whisperer. I speak to them softly as I walk by, and they let me pass in peace, and sometimes even chat back. My *favorite* time of the year on campus is April because of - you guessed it - the goslings! We've had three newly-hatched broods in the past 2 1/2 weeks, so I took advantage of the clear skies on Friday to go out on a little photo safari at lunchtime. Before you get to...

Squishy Footprints: Cricket... Cricket
http://squishyfootprints.blogspot.com/2009/10/cricket-cricket.html
Get out of my brain. You're leaving squishy footprints." - both fex. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Wow I just realized that there's been nothing but utter blog silence here for months on end now. That's sad. It may feel safe for awhile, especially for us introverts. Building walls? Erm, now it gets a little dangerous. no one gets in, but you can't get out either. Hardening the heart to dampen the disappointment. Ouch! That's not how I want to end up. The answer is whenever you invite me. :o). Neglecting: Ho...

Squishy Footprints: January 2011
http://squishyfootprints.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Get out of my brain. You're leaving squishy footprints." - both fex. Thursday, January 27, 2011. 8220;My name is Lisa, and I’m an exercise addict.”. If I was going to join a 12-step group at this point, I’m fairly sure that’s the admission you’d hear coming out of my mouth by way of introduction. Pride started to kick in, as we’d relay stories back and forth about the reactions of co-workers and acquaintances to our feats of temperature tolerance or distance. Our waistlines shrank, we had more ...As it t...
