I’d taken the wrong exit at the Barrio de la Concepcion Metro station, and found myself in a plaza I didn’t know existed. The cafeteria was hiding in a shady arcade, and I felt like a beer and a bite before retracing my steps and finding my hotel. Un cerveza, y un bocadillo de jamon y queso, por favor! Experience can be a good teacher, unless you are a politician, but that’s another story! I also think there’s some truth in saying the greater the mistake, the greater the learning possibility.
