I'll make an occasional exception (my stepdaughters have each given me EXCELLENT cookbooks I didn't ask for: Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything Vegetarian. And Alice Waters' Chez Panisse Vegetables. But mostly I just stick to what I have and they all have plenty to teach me. My two most instructive books are Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything.
