Monday, August 29, 2011. Home, Sweet Home. Friday, August 26, 2011. We drove Alpine, WY to Rawlins, WY on the 25th. Pictures of the sunset. Today we drove to Poudre Canyon outside of Fort Collins. We camped here approx. 50 years ago with the folks and then we brought our kids here twice. We were very disappointed in Glen Echo resort but the campground at Chambers has been improved. We're heading for Denver tomorrow and plan to stop to see Greg, Linda and Tim Helmers at the hospital then we'll head east.

Thursday, August 4, 2011. Eldorado Gold Mine at Fairbanks -. We called Kaitlyn to wish her Happy Birthday). This is the trough used for surface mining for gold, prior to water and dirt entering. The heavy objects, like gold, is caught by metal grates and mats as lighter materials are washed away. Here's the water flowing through. Here we are panning for gold. Getting our gold weighed.
