Travels with us!

A record of our holidays for people who aren't on holidays themselves and want to live vicariously though us. Also for us to remember what we did! So tonight for dinner we went to a Lu-au. I was sort of thinking of it abit like a football match in Melbourne. You know, sort of a must do, and a bit like football I feel like I have done that now and NEVER need to do it again. It was a bit like I'd imagine the swagman restaurant would have been in Melbourne before that DIED IN THE ARSE. Here are some photos.

Travels with us!: October 2010

http://www.travelswithneilandlouise.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

A record of our holidays for people who aren't on holidays themselves and want to live vicariously though us. Also for us to remember what we did! We had a lot of km, or miles to cover today, so we couldn't muck around to much. It was nice to start off with, but there was a lot of rain on and off. We stopped at a few other stops on the way south for photos (and caches) but in the end the light failed and we just had to keep driving. We made it to our. shall we say festy? We made it to the top of the pass...

Travels with us!: All's quiet

http://www.travelswithneilandlouise.blogspot.com/2015/08/all-quiet.html

A record of our holidays for people who aren't on holidays themselves and want to live vicariously though us. Also for us to remember what we did! I know it's been pretty quiet on the blog recently, but to be frank, there is nothing to report. Seriously. I know it's hard to believe but we have been sitting around doing nothing. Except the odd swim in the pool, a bit of wine or beer, eating and sleeping. Nothing else. 1 August 2015 at 17:01. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Flight over the Garden Island.

Travels with us!: Who knew

http://www.travelswithneilandlouise.blogspot.com/2015/08/who-knew.html

A record of our holidays for people who aren't on holidays themselves and want to live vicariously though us. Also for us to remember what we did! We went to a sand castle competition today. Who knew they even really held these! We were a bit late for it, but most of them were still standing and in good condition. Here are some photos. We had an enormous dinner. And drinks. It was just food for me. Neil liked his steak. Looks like a hard place to go on a diet. :) I thought that was a sharing platter!

stuff and things: June 2014

http://scottiemonster.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

09 June, 2014. I just realised I have now been caching for 6 years! That's a long time. Still loving it, so I can't see me stopping any time soon. I cached on both Saturday and Sunday, for the whole days. I was completely stuff after both days. On the plus side, I got to hang out with great people and I notched up my 2700th cache find. I wonder what next weekend will bring? Who am I kidding, if it's not too rainy, a trip to the coast near Wonthagi is already found to. you guessed it, find more caches).

I am spending the next 6 weeks with my good friend, Mira, and her parents, Tunde and Joe, in Greece, Hungary, and maybe a few quick stops around Europe! Day 29 and 30: Lectures and Papers, Lectures and Papers. Asymp; Leave a comment. We have spent the past two days at a university near Istanbul, hearing lectures about the EU, the current state of the Turkish economy, and Turkish migration patterns. These lectures were pretty interesting, but overall it was kind of a boring way to spend days after the excitement of being downtown in Istanbul. This is a study abroad after all, and I have to put in time with the study portion. Day 28: A Whole Lot of Waiting.

Welcome to Travels With Nathaniel! Had three terrific kids, became a great writer, and rubbed elbows with the likes of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and Franklin Pierce who eventually went on to become a United States President. I even got to meet the great President Abraham Lincoln at the start of our nation's horrible Civil War, an experience which I wrote about in my essay "Chiefly About War Matters" in 1862. Monday, June 10, 2013. Is it really June? Where did the last three months go? Time for picnics with neighbors. I've been picking lettuce for the last 3 weeks now. We have salad for dinner 2-3 times a week. Here's Mr. Nick gathering all his friends around him. Can you tell I am just crazy about this patio? I have envisioned this for years and it's everything I thought it would be. We often have a fire in the evening and sit out till dark. My brother's dog and Nicky at play.
