I know I've said it before but I will say it again: "what a great experience! There Mica is, clumsy as ever, gentle but awkward, falling on their little feet and the chicks are all clustering by him and perching on his legs. Hilarious. We didn't have to worry about them taking off -we are their safety net. Pretty neat. Conditions Update...

Daisy flew and sat on the top of their cardboard box home today. That was my cue to fold up the walls to make things higher. The first picture shows just how pleased we are that our chicks arrived. :) Unfortunately 4 out of 6 hatched. so hopefully they are all ladies! T and M worked very hard to fill the coop and the house with shavings -they absolutely loved this job as you can see from the pictures. We launched from the rec site and paddled around the northeast end of the lake, stopping to check out one of my favourite camp spots. it was still there. Hydration is very important boys and girls. After many sincere offers, Jordan finally came out and got his truck dirty with me and kris. Awesome. We headed up a favourite trail of ours.
