Exceeding Abundantly: Packed Up
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2013/04/packed-up.html
About me and my boys. Friday, April 5, 2013. This past week we closed on our new house and began life as home owners again. We've been renting for the past 3 1/2 years, and between living in Missouri, North Carolina and now way out West, there was no reason to buy until we knew we'd be settled. And so. here we are. Settled. Well, aside from the mountains of boxes in every room. Haha. But truly, we are well on our way to being settled. We're putting down roots. We're calling a house our own.

Exceeding Abundantly: June 2012
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
About me and my boys. Thursday, June 14, 2012. I’ve always loved the rain. I know that growing up in the Pacific Northwest plays a big part in that. It was always raining there and most locals learn to love it. And love it, I did. I spent nearly 20 years of my life in the beautiful state of Washington and came to love the drizzles, the steady drip-drop that soothed me to sleep, and most of all the torrential downpours. And then off they went. Or… off. Seeing their delight in the rain took me back. I was ...

Being Happy: For better or worse, but not for lunch
http://beinghappygirl.blogspot.com/2013/10/for-better-or-worse-but-not-for-lunch.html
There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world." Robert Louis Stevenson. 100 things about me. Thursday, October 31, 2013. For better or worse, but not for lunch. There is a saying ( and I think there are even books with the title. I married you for better or worse, but not for lunch. This is something I've heard said in my association with my friends that are reaching retirement age. Retirement, they say, can be rough on a marriage.

Being Happy: Loose change
http://beinghappygirl.blogspot.com/2011/04/loose-change.html
There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world." Robert Louis Stevenson. 100 things about me. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Discs of metal in my pocket. Clinking together rubbing etching. My phone. Oh, now it. Is scratched. Hated loose change. Damn pennies, darn dimes and nickles. Manganese, aluminum, silver,. Extravagant cost to produce for. No value. Why the copper? Use credit instead of this coin. Of the land, it's outdated. Ha so...

Being Happy: A bird pooped on me
http://beinghappygirl.blogspot.com/2012/12/a-bird-pooped-on-me.html
There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world." Robert Louis Stevenson. 100 things about me. Tuesday, December 11, 2012. A bird pooped on me. This morning while walking from my car to my office a bird pooped on my hand. I've heard getting pooped on by a bird can be considered good luck. I can't imagine why this is something some people think, but evidently it is. Maybe there is something about the randomness of it? Dangif you see...

Being Happy: September 2013
http://beinghappygirl.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world." Robert Louis Stevenson. 100 things about me. Friday, September 6, 2013. The rainbow wheel spins as thoughts back up in my brain. Tapping keys with a purpose (of busting through the board). No love is lost when the faithful friend is dying. Sure we’ve shared secrets and smiles and songs, but I long. For a MacBook Pro. Nothing is more frustrating than a failing laptop, is there? I was...

Exceeding Abundantly: March 2012
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
About me and my boys. Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Nick completed his 20 month Company Command this morning! Probably the most beautiful part was that mid speech, when it would have been fitting to boast about his great accomplishment and what he has done for this Company, he told everyone, from his soldiers to the very high ranking officials who sat in the stands, that the most important thing he did for the Company as its Commander was to pray. And do you see why I got teary eyed? We were deeply touched ...

Exceeding Abundantly: Sweet sweet sweetness
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2013/01/sweet-sweet-sweetness.html
About me and my boys. Thursday, January 24, 2013. I know you’ve been waiting for these sweet sweet pictures of this sweet sweet guy. Especially you, Mom. While I can’t say that life’s been terribly busy, it has been busy. Perhaps more of a getting-into-a-routine type busy, than a my-schedule-is-so-packed type busy. So…instead of running too and fro with things outside the home, we’ve been able to adjust to our new home and to have an inward focus. And then we moved the following week, then took a week to...
