In an ideal world, the only time you might need to read your contract is before you sign on or if you have a specific question on some publishing point once you have. The worst time to read it is after you’ve signed and you discover you're unhappy. Royalties. Not just what percentage you’ll be making but how you’ll make it. From distributors? A middle man takes an additional cut. From gross? When will you get the royalties? Once you reach a certain sum?

Friday, February 4, 2011. We had a snowstorm blow through and everything looked so amazing covered in snow. The patterns that the snow makes on the chain link fence is fun to try and photograph. Here's my attempt. Sam made pizza and it looked great and tasted even better. Sorry the image is so grainy. I had bumped up the ISO and I should have grabbed my tripod instead.
