New swim sessions for February and March. A new morning swim block has just been announced. The sessions will take place in Kingfisher Tuam from Monday, February 23, 6:30am 8:00am. Swim Block (Aerobic): Monday morning session at Kingfisher Tuam 06:30-08:00 designed for building swim aerobic base. It will be 60-90 mins. The target is for swimmers to be reaching distances of 3km - 5km though appropriate interval sets. All levels welcome so don't worry if the distance seems too much! The Gang in Loughrea.

New Training sessions announced. Thanks to the coaching squad the next batch of organised training sessions is just hot off the press and are as follows. Our second coaching "blocks" of 5 weeks for swim, cycle and run development are nearing their conclusion. Our next blocks are set to start from Monday the 23rd of February. Come along and join the fun Tri Lakes. Tri Lakes organises its own in house events including The Duahlon Series, TT Series and new to this year The Swim Series. We also attend other events such as open water events organised by other clubs, cycle events, The Croi being our big outing and many local running events. My Cycling Year – 10,000km. December 26, 2015. January 2, 2016. Participated so it was nice to rub shoulders with them. I also do a bit of jogging which allows me to participate in Duathlon type events. The only other thing I do is a weekly session of hot yoga. I find that the yoga increases my flexibility and so I am less prone to injury. Without the yoga I found that I was hurting my calf muscles and Achilles when I worked hard at running faster.
