choosing constellations: The Puttering
http://choosingconstellations.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-puttering.html
Sunday, September 2, 2012. All weekend, no matter where we go, the question always comes: Any big plans for the day? I wonder, always, how they might define "big". We have been puttering, and with the holiday we will have one day more (so lovely). What does that include these days? Walks to the market, coffee shop, water, antique mall, record shop, and museum. Coffee and scones outside in the museum's courtyard. New music on repeat, new records being flipped and played, flipped and played. Puttering is a...

choosing constellations: Where it Falls
http://choosingconstellations.blogspot.com/2012/08/where-it-falls.html
Sunday, August 26, 2012. There's been a great deal of change lately, some large and some small - a new job for one of us, new responsibilities and shifting priorities for both of us, and most days we're just happy to sink into the one unwavering foundation - the base of "us". So we went blueberry picking and I mastered the grasses and needy branches with red ballet flats and felt warm and silly and happy. My sister, a mouth full of blueberries and a bucket rattling with the few that made it in, laugh...

Wide Open Spaces: Worn
http://karihun.blogspot.com/2013/01/worn.html
Monday, January 28, 2013. Well, when are YOU going to have another baby? Your brother has 4 kids now and soon your sister will have 3, when are you going to catch up? I know they are coming because I heard them (and more) when my brother and his wife were expecting their fourth child. Don't get me wrong I KNOW people mean well but hearing those things is like rubbing salt in a wound. I just saw this! Still praying for you guys about all of this stuff. Wide Open Spaces: Thankful
http://karihun.blogspot.com/2012/11/thankful.html
Tuesday, November 13, 2012. I know I don't post here anymore. The days just seem to go by too fast and it seems like if I do post anything it is just short status updates or pictures on Facebook. Sometimes though there is no way to say what I want to say in a few short sentences or in a snapshot. Right now is one of those times. Anytime I start to worry I read Matthew 6:25-34. So I'm thankful my husband lost his job. He has never been happier. I'm thankful that money is tight. It's brought us...I remembe...

choosing constellations: Habit
http://choosingconstellations.blogspot.com/2013/02/habit.html
Monday, February 11, 2013. 8220;Sometimes I get the feeling that we're just a bunch of habits. The gestures we repeat over and over, they're just our need to be recognized. Without them, we'd be unidentifiable. We have to reinvent ourselves every minute.” - Nicole Krauss. And so, when I decided to stop biting my nails this time, because yes, yes, there have been so. Hand in the mouth. Trying not to say unkind words? Hand in the mouth. Fearful of failure when you speak? February 11, 2013 at 11:14 AM.
