No Two Alike: Books on the North Shore
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/p/books-on-north-shore.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Books on the North Shore. Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee in Color Volume 1, by Geoffrey H. Doughty, published by Morning Sun Books Inc. At its heart this is a photographic album of cool pictures of the North Shore, and it repeats a lot of information in the text, in the captions, which for me feels like a waste of space, as the author could have used it to tell me other stuff that I don't know. This book is a labour of love. I fou...

No Two Alike: December 2012
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Friday, 28 December 2012. Farewell to the Old, Welcome New and Shiny. Not been posting much here of late. Lots of good reasons for that state of affairs, but now I have something I want to show you, which you can see above. This is a prototype axle hung motor for H0 and 4mm scale models of trams, trolley cars, EMUs etc. project that I have been driving. So, let me finish this blog post by wishing you all a Happy New Year. Modeling Insull...

No Two Alike: Progress Update
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/2013/04/progress-update.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Saturday, 27 April 2013. The good news is that there has been some, the bad news is that the outcome doesn't meet all the requirements for a commercial drive. We went and looked elsewhere and a different prototype designed for P4 is in the process of being brought to market using printed gears. The bad news is that they will be sold with the proviso that the gears are not designed for sustained running, which is not what I wanted. A plet...

No Two Alike: March 2013
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Wednesday, 27 March 2013. I've just had an update from the supplier of the gears for the axle hung motors and we've hit that problem that comes from only wanting a low production run, rather than thousand of gears, which would be a doddle. For definitions of doddle that mean having enough capital to invest in an injection moulding tool being made. Posted by A R Pollard. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). No Two Alike: Happy Thanksgiving
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/2013/12/happy-thanksgiving.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Sunday, 1 December 2013. A belated happy Thanksgiving to anyone who is reading this. I've been far too busy doing other stuff this year to pay much attention to this blog, but I would like to give a big shout out to Ohkwari Sales. Who doggedly worked to get my Atlas Burlington boxcar to me despite Atlas's taking a lot longer to get this model to market. Posted by A R Pollard. 3 December 2013 at 01:11. No Two Alike: I'm Okay, Im Writing a Novel
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/2013/06/i-had-email-from-one-of-my-mrr-friends.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Saturday, 15 June 2013. I'm Okay, Im Writing a Novel. I had an email from one of my MRR friends this week inquiring if I was okay and what has been happening to me? So no updates on the under floor drives, or modelling in general. So you all have to make do with a picture of me in the cab of an EMD FA diesel taken a few years ago when I was last over in California. No Two Alike: September 2012
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Saturday, 22 September 2012. Just got back from a very nice day out at the Seaboard Southern. S show held at the Holbrook Club in Horsham, Sussex. This was a local all American model railroad show with trade representatives and layouts. Well here is another blog. Happy now? Hex Frog Juicers for our layout from Coastal DCC. So I really have no excuse now not to get over the hump and have the layout fully operational by wiring these in....

No Two Alike: October 2012
http://no-two-alike.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Railway and Railroad Modelling, Electric Traction and Freight Cars. Thursday, 25 October 2012. I've been laid off now for two months. Three months if you count the last month of work when I was using up all my annual leave entitlement. One would think therefore that I have been busy building lots of model railway models and the like. Not so much. Today I was applying varnish over the tops of said static grass to see how this works as a sealant, as I find a lot of the grass tends to lift off over time?
