Sunday, July 27, 2008. Ethan has grown so much since my last post. His verbal skills are exploding with a new word or two almost every day. It started with the word "clock", which he says, "clockie". From there, he said other "k" sound words like broccoli (bock-ee), kitty (kill-ll-ee), and quack (cack-cack). His other favorites are hi, uh-oh, "side" (outside! Puh" (up), and "sss-sss" (shoes). Ethan gives great hugs. He squeezes your neck so tight! In this video, Ethan shows off his new climbing skills...

Sunday, February 22, 2009. Here are some highlights of what Ethan's been up to since December:. He enjoys playing dress-up with Maegan. This photo shows just how he felt about Santa at the mall. Not so sure, but curious. He did NOT want to sit on his lap! Protective big sister. Hilarious finger point! The BIG Tonka truck from Grandpa Monte and Grandma Denise. Ethan's very favorite gift from Aunt Jackie and Uncle Aaron: Thomas the Train! Ethan had an ear infection, but he REALLY wanted to play outside.

Ethan is a thumb-sucker, like his sister, but he's a righty and she's a lefty. Actually, he will suck either thumb, but I think he prefers the right one. Thursday, March 12, 2009. A Big Boy Day. Ethan had a big day today. He got brave enough to sit on the toilet and was able to squeeze out little bits of potty at a time, with a big celebration in between. It was so funny to see him hugging me and Maegan each time he made the smallest tinkle. :) He would say, "Hug! And we'd hug all around and then he'd try some more. Repeat, repeat. I'm excited that he's showing an interest and can't wait to make it through this next stage with him. Iowa, United States.
