Mo and Terry Smedley. A collection of photographs taken in late summer and fall of 2007. Mo loses . then finds her ring. Uncle Dick and Aunt Nita Ottoson's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration on Whidbey Island. Mo's braces come off. Sibling vacation to Spokane. After a walk on our perimeter trail, Mo noticed that her ring was missing. We walked the trail numerous times looking for it, but what are the chances of finding a ring on a trail that's a mile long string of wood chips? Sisters talking it over.

Mo and Terry Smedley. On one of our journeys to Portland, we came across artist Beverly Toyu. She's a ceramic artist who now specializes in making Life Masks. Her web site. Click on any if the images below for a larger picture. The first step is to make a plaster mold of your face. Here, we're at Beverly's studio in Dayton, Oregon (near McMinnville). Mo elected to go first. Bob Martin and Betsy Seidel accompanied us on this trip. Gee, that was easy! It takes less then ten minutes for the plaster to harden.

This fall, we're joining Rail Travel Center's Colorado Autumn Tour that will take us on an eclectic mix of train rides throughout Western Colorado. The tour begins in Denver, and we'll take a leisurely, indirect route from Portland through Chicago on Amtrak to get there. After the tour, we'll head home on Amtrak through Sacramento.
