A Heroic Journey. hopefully, maybe, we'll see...: DVD Coloring Case
http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2012/05/venture-111-dvd-coloring-case.html
Friday, May 25, 2012. I saw this brilliant idea on THIS. Blog, Handmade by Stacy, and knew that I must give it a try. We like to store all our DVDs in a folder with plastic protector sleeves so that they are are all in once place, so that leaves us with a ton of empty cases, thus this project seeming all the more appealing. Finally got it all cut out. Then I cut cardboard and glued it on the insides, I used old cereal and cracker boxes, and made them the above dimensions. And slide it in. Then my favorit...

A Heroic Journey. hopefully, maybe, we'll see...: Smore Cake Pops!
http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2012/05/venture-110-smore-cake-pops.html
Thursday, May 17, 2012. In getting ready for my sister's wedding in June, I offered to make some cake pops as treats for the reception. So until then I have been putting in some practice on making the goods. Until I saw this beauty for only $15 at Walmart. Sorry this pic is blurry, I got it right from the walmart website, I felt lazy and didn't want to take a pic of the actual one I bought, but it looks just like it though :). So long story short. I made "Smore" cake pops. I used THIS. Are you a Hero?

http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2012/10/skeletons-in-closet.html
Monday, October 22, 2012. Skeletons in the Closet. I love Halloween time, it is really just so fun to me. But I guess the more modern take on it is what thrills me, not so much the gory gloom and doom of it that goes way back in its making. I guess it comes down to I love being creative and dressing up, and who doesn't love candy? So long story short, and back to the title of this post, here is what we did. In my browsing on pinterest. I came across this. So here is how it all worked:. 2 Get some hand fr...

A Heroic Journey. hopefully, maybe, we'll see...: Finding strength within and from above
http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2012/09/finding-strength-within-and-from-above.html
Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Finding strength within and from above. Is it too much to ask to have her a little longer! This just seems to be a struggle I will most likely run into the rest of my life, and no matter what I do, the pain of it all still lingers around. But with each daily struggle, maybe there is still hope. September 25, 2012 at 9:52 PM. I know how you feel, and I had her longer. You are a great mom. You can tell by how much your little girl loves you! Its always ok to cry too! Meals on D...

A Heroic Journey. hopefully, maybe, we'll see...: A whole new direction, sort of
http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2012/09/a-whole-new-direction-sort-of.html
Tuesday, September 25, 2012. A whole new direction, sort of. The main idea of the class was taking regular stories and find the heroic journey that is embedded into them, taking the simple characters, and watching them overcome their greatest struggles, and their greatest fears. We all might be regular people living regular lives, but we all have a quest, a journey that we go through, even if it is something simple as making through one day at time. A Heroic Journey. hopefully, maybe, we'll see...: Favorite Oatmeal Muffins!
http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2011/04/venture-18-favorite-oatmeal-muffins.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. One of my favorite things about being graduated from college but my husband still isn't is that we still get to be close to the college- I can have the benefits of the college without being tortured by them by being one of their students :). Well this lovely school offers community classes, usually 1-2 night classes that offer great fun or advice without strapping you down with homework- you just get to go, learn, have fun and then your done! Or you can just read below:. We lik...

A Heroic Journey. hopefully, maybe, we'll see...: A frame Play Tent
http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2012/06/venture-112-frame-play-tent.html
Friday, June 1, 2012. A frame Play Tent. So I saw This. The original used a twin sheet, so they were able to find dowels that long, I didn't get that lucky, so I just hemmed my material to the length of the dowel across, then fit as long to fit on both sides. Maybe it worked great for the original post, but when I did this part, it didn't fit very tight, so we bought these little clip things to help hold the dowel and frames into place better. We got them at our local hardware store. Are you a Hero?

http://domesticventures.blogspot.com/2012/05/headbandhair-tie-holder.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2012. OkI'm blog-deficient, and can't get the top picture to move down. SoI found this idea on Pinterest and LOVED it! First I found a great candle holder at Wal-mart (see above). Then I had the kids eat a bunch of oatmeal so I could use this container pictured below. (It was mostly oatmeal cookies rather than oatmeal breakfasts.). May 17, 2012 at 8:18 PM. My girls can never find their headbands. maybe I should try this one. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Skeletons in the Closet.
