Cohabitational Life: Get off my porch!
http://cohabitate.blogspot.com/2013/08/get-off-my-porch.html
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Get off my porch! Tonight I am angry! I am so freaking angry! Ken and I went out to dinner tonight. As we were pulling out of the driveway, he said to me, "Should we bring in the mail? As there were two boxes on the front porch that had arrived during the day. We have a lot of plants and things on the porch so the items weren't visible. I said we'd just get them when we got home. Where are their parents? What's going to be next? September 5, 2013 at 6:18 AM. I love the idea!

Cohabitational Life: Laughs at a Funeral
http://cohabitate.blogspot.com/2013/08/laughs-at-funeral.html
Friday, August 16, 2013. Laughs at a Funeral. Today found us at a funeral - no Ken - just me, mother, Aunt Sheila, and Grandma Frieda. As funerals usually are, this one was solemn. However, this blog post is dedicated to Grandma Frieda who busted out with some laughs at the luncheon following the service and burial. Says I when I returned, for this was not the usual funeral luncheon talk. How could I have missed anything so interesting? This comment has been removed by the author. No more first days.

Sunday, September 8, 2013. What do you find in a crawl space? I know old houses have a life of their own, but things around here got really crazy all of a sudden. Case 1: The first day of classes. I mean I REALLY hate those things. How did it get in? Case 2: The little mouse. Case 3: Something in the sink. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Scout, Tucker and Charlie. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. I Don't Think So. Five years of teaching full time at HCC and I can't believe I still have trouble adjusting to going back to work after the summer. No, I didn't teach on campus this summer, but I did teach two online classes and do a lot of traveling so it's not like I was totally a bum. The worst part of it is that this is like the easiest semester I've had since I started there! I don't have to teach on Fridays for the first time in.well.EVER! What did I do at home? Sadly, ...

Monday, September 17, 2012. Can I Leave Class Part II. Today, the same student from the last post came up to me at the beginning of class and asked if he could leave our class to go make up a test from a different class. Seriously? I just said, "Go." Then I marked him absent. I wonder if he'll even know why. Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Can I Leave Class? Me: "So, what's going on? Me: "Obviously. So what's the deal with the cell phone, again. Student: "What about it? Me: "So do it. No one is making y...

Cohabitational Life: No more first days
http://cohabitate.blogspot.com/2013/08/no-more-first-days.html
Wednesday, August 28, 2013. No more first days. I've officially completed all of my "first days" of the semester as of this afternoon. One can only take so many of those syllabus/calendar reviews after all. Grand total: 7. I hate how I always get nervous the first few days of the semester, but especially on those first days. I think it's the fear of students finding out I don't know what I'm doing. Do I know what I'm doing? A little "mini me" if there ever was one! Gosh, was I ever that annoying? We seem...
