Haridwar and Rishikesh | Turner's Travels

December 11, 2015. These two cities are very close in distance. In my time here I will be spending less than a day in Haridwar and I will stay the night in Rishikesh. Both of these sacred cities are located on the Ganges River, upstream from Varanasi. Haridwar is home to almost 2 million people, while Rishikesh has a little over 100 thousand. It is definitely something that is on many people’s bucket lists and I cannot wait to check it off of mine. A travel blogger that lived in Rishikesh to teach Yoga.

December 11, 2015. Varanasi is the next stop on my journey. This city intrigued me because of all the rituals and ceremonies that take place daily. When speaking with my friend Dan, he told me that this is a place I could not miss. He then showed me the picture that I have put as the cover photo. He took this shot in Varanasi when he was on a boat in the Ganges River alongside an evening ritual. I’ll post about cities I am not choosing to go to and what they have to offer.
