What the heck did that dream mean? | Turning a new leaf
https://turninganewleaf.wordpress.com/2009/10/01/what-the-heck-did-that-dream-mean
Turning a new leaf. Just another WordPress.com weblog. What the heck did that dream mean? Sometimes in interpreting a dream, it helps to think about what is a similar situation in your own life. So, what is going on in my life where the view from the outside looks great (the red curtains in the window) and the inside is just a mis-matched mishmash? Turning a new leaf. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; What else is there? What do you look forward to? I look forward to watching one particular TV show with my husband every weekend. I look forward to walks out of doors. I’m going to keep adding to my list of treats, things that I love to do. I’m so happy that I am finding things that make me happy that are healthy and good for my mind, body and spirit. This entry was posted on November 17, 2009 at 10:13 pm and is filed under 1.

Turning a new leaf. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Archive for October, 2009. October 31, 2009. Last week I didn’t lose any weight. I knew that there were some probable good reasons: I didn’t exercise the week before, I started taking pro-biotics, I upped my protein drinks back to 3 a day instead of 2 a day, and my tummy is able to hold a little more now as it heals up. And good grief, sometimes the body just needs to rest! I can’t tell you how relieved I am. It is hard after years of dieti...I tried...

Turning a new leaf. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; F.E.A.R. What do you look forward to? What else is there? Am I craving alone time, or maybe I need a visit with friends? Someday I hope that I will be able to go straight to what my mind and spirit truly need and desire, and not even give the food a second thought. Turning a new leaf. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Archive for January, 2010. January 10, 2010. I do have a plan at least:. I will continue to go to support groups. (Does an alcoholic ever outgrow AA? I will continue to weigh myself every Monday morning. If I ever go up more than 5 pounds I will immediately go back to low carb to get the weight off quickly. January 10, 2010. The interesting thing was that I was upset about it, but I was brave and calm and all that during (as I usually can be) and aft...

DS Confess: July 2009
http://ds-confess.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Jul 30, 2009. Fat people on television. I'm down a few pounds.I think my weight ups and downs are simply natural fluctuations. I think I should weigh only once a month. This will take some discipline, but is worth it I think. The first is good. I'm 5'5". If I go with the five pounds per inch rule, their 190 would be my 170-175. I didn't really consider myself fat at that weight and wouldn't again. Sheesh, how unrealistic is that? Worst, the wo...

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Mar 1, 2009. She found a job. Got her colors done. Felt better about herself. And almost every one of those marriages ended in divorce.”. When I'm thin, or normal, men are easy. I got married too fast when I became normal weight. I should have waited and been more picky. I could have. But I chose the first man who would take me, my biological clock clicking loudly. I wanted a child. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). If somebody asked me what I wante...

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Jun 30, 2009. What happened after my DS. Here it is.I replied to a lady who's going in for a DS with the same surgeon. Last February Dunshee and Stewart (who has since moved) said they've done around fifty DS. I'm sure it's more now. At the time it was hellacious though. I couldn't eat or drink for months. Did tube feedings. I still have my tube in. Revisions are the toughest surgeries. But now I'm back on track and eating! Struggling to get p...

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Jul 22, 2010. I'll delete this blog tomorrow. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). If somebody asked me what I wanted most in the world a year ago, it would be to be a normal size. This is about the journey I took to realize my dream. I don't think I'm without self-discipline, uncontrolled, or lazy. I've been fat since childhood and becoming normal sized has always been the one. Thing I couldn't do. There was an error in this gadget.

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Jul 22, 2010. I'll delete this blog tomorrow. Jul 21, 2010. I weigh 243. DS FAIL. The argument will be I failed it, and I won't disagree. I lost my best window of weight loss. With the almost dying and caloric tube feedings for several months after surgery, I didn't even start to lose until after the window closed. After the first year, my body recovered and the weight gain has been continuous and inexorable. I think I want to keep on releasin...

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Aug 25, 2009. I fell off the wagon big time as far as recording my food. I don't know quite what happened, I got busy and sidetracked. It seemed as if I had a couple pounds weight loss, could be water fluctuation.but now I'm back right where I was, 215 pounds. White flour and sugar have to be completely out of my life. The sugar has been gone, but the white flour sneaks in. Labels: weight and eating. Aug 17, 2009. White flour is the Devil.

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Nov 1, 2008. My decision to have the DS. I decided to have weight loss surgery in the middle of October 2008. I've tried to lose weight every other way a person can and failed over and over. My body wars with me. That something is weight loss surgery. It is the only thing that works. Even if I accomplished the monumental feat of losing weight, I doubt if I could battle with my body for the rest of my life to keep it off. It would b...It will n...

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Jan 5, 2010. 2185 pounds. The weight gain was astonishing and easy. Just like old days. I'm back on the diet train, but I'm really struggling to make it something more livable and less like a diet. I want to lose fifty pounds. I have that old feeling of looking up to this fifty pounds as an unsurmountable, unclimbable mountain of pain. Back to the diet trenches. Was the DS worth it? For those people who blithely tell you to travel, to do this,...

My journey to the new me after the duodenal switch procedure. Nov 10, 2009. More labs: Vits A&D. My D was up to 28 from 18 in just a few weeks with just a few thousand IUs supplemented. A was 35 mcg, within normal limits. In Western nations apparently toxicity from too much A is far more of a danger than deficiency. From wikipedia. Not to be confused with anorexia nervosa. Acute toxicity generally occurs at doses of 25,000 IU. Fatigue, weight loss, bone fractures, anemia, and diarrhea can all be evident ...
