Steph's Bodacious Boondoggles: November 2008

So between working trips this fall, I've been trying to lay low and save money. However, there's been quite the run-up to Halloween as well. Some of us went to Busch Gardens' Hallowscream a couple of times. Also, Mark's friend Stephanie (fantastic name! Mark taking in some quality literature between birthday party and karaoke (yes, in a Barnes and Noble in costume). Lumberjack me and Superman Mark. Me (as Jack, complete with hedgehog) and Jack (thrilled to have his own tribute). The Captain and Scott.

From Shnitzel to the Shore. So for my birthday at the end of August, we went for drinks one night but traveled (through nasty traffic and unintentional detours) all the way to Norfolk for birthday shnitzel at the German Pantry. In all, about fifteen or so of us rendezvoused in Norfolk for delectable jaegershnitzel, apfelstrudel, and (of course) pretzels. Yum! Photos: The Eastern Shore welcomes us! So, at work, myself and a handful of my coworkers have been working on not only making a podcast for our museums, but also making these shorter "passionalities" (videos based on the Virginia.org's passionality campaign). Here's our more recent (and much better) video of our friend TJ. There will be more to come, so keep checking JYF's website (www.historyisfun.org) or their channel on YouTube (username: historyisfunorg). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. What I did on my summer vacation. The next morning, we were up and on the way to his grandparent's house northeast of Pittsburgh, and then on the next morning to Ann Arbor. Summer fun in the 'Burg. This summer has been a mix of fun, work, and m...

The following Friday, the Foundation had its staff holiday party at the Hospitality House in Williamsburg. I’d heard many a story about past holiday parties and expected a ridiculous but fun party with all sorts of Jamestown staff. After the debate about what to wear (Just how fancy to dress?
