Raised and trained in art, in Ireland and in Paris, he moved to Florence to further his studies in 2013 with the Angel Academy of art. In addition to painting, he has run art galleries, organised group exhibitions, published art books and started many life drawing organisations. In total he has 25 years experience as a painter and has exhibited in NY, London, Ireland and France. In 2003, he left Ireland for France.

The Watermill in 2017. Or October 2016 Tuscany Plein Air will take place in a beautifully restored, 13th century, Dominican building. It is situated along the Via Francigena or Lombard Way. There are many beautiful vistas including views of Florence and designated hiking areas, nearby historic buildings, open fields, beautiful villas with their cyprus trees silhouetted against the sky. Rich vegetation, abundant wild plants, herbs and olive groves, all of which present many painting possibilities.

I enjoyed myself tremendously at Tuscany Plein Air. We had a grand 1930's decor villa to stay in, I felt I had wandered onto an Agatha Christy film set! I enjoyed making new friends, and the food was delicious and fresh. Although I am a fairly experienced plein air painter I found myself learning things daily.
