Cats, Coffee, and Chocolate. A brief daily (hopefully) glympse into the life of a semi-retired ex-Veterinary field grandmother who is originally from New Orleans, La. but has made her home in Texas for the past 38 years (guess that makes me an 'honorary' Texan). And we do love Texas next best to Louisiana. but no place beats N.O. for delicious coffee and great food! Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Who is that old lady? This is definitely a post for Mulberry days (a bittersweet time of life), a post that is even difficult to put into words. But I do wonder how many others who are in this same boat honestly think, "Who is that old lady. Looking back at me in the mirror? I mean, I know. But it doesn't look like me. not the me I remember. Saturday, August 15, 2015. The news no one wants to hear. Someone close to us recently got the news that her father has cancer. Of course she and her family are devastated. Such horrible news. No one wants to hear this. Yet. there's still. Hope that all is well. or if not *is*, then possibly *will be* (well). Today Cancer is treatable. It's not easy and it's not fun. but it is treatable.
