The Woodshop Bug: April 2011
http://woodshopbug.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 22, 2011. My next project is a stool, made from walnut. I made a prototype, out of some luxurious pine, and have begun breaking up a large piece of 8/4 walnut. Well I haven't totally figured that out myself yet, but I do know that I had a lot of fun working on my project and writing on it. The blog is WISE Woodworks. Start from the beginning for the full narrative experience. Here is what I built; a wooden music stand for my trombone teacher:. The next one I'm doing is a bowie hidden tang style using Indian rosewood, available here. My ne...

The Woodshop Bug: January 2011
http://woodshopbug.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 8, 2011. Believe it or not I have actually been much more busy during December than it might seem. I remade the moving dog part of my wagon vise, making it more robust, and with a better fitting dog. I really should have made the block using lamination the first time, it was much easier and is more precise. I also figured out a way to play my ipod through an old boom box we have, which makes a much bigger sound. Friday, January 7, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lost Art Press Blog.

The Woodshop Bug: February 2012
http://woodshopbug.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 5, 2012. What I've been working on: another maple cutting board, this time with an embellishment. The reason that one of the walnut runners goes all the way though is because my router slipped towards the end of the cut (due to operator error, nothing wrong with the machine), and ended up cutting all the way through the board. The Woodshop Bug: It's Here!
http://woodshopbug.blogspot.com/2011/07/its-here.html
Saturday, July 2, 2011. I bought one a year ago and agree that it is a very good tool. In the meantime I have bought another, wider base that I occasionally use, and the edge guide - I see that in your picture too. The edge guide is worth every penny. The one complaint that I have is that the thumb lock wears out very quickly and has become unusable on my colt. I ground down a wrench to fit in the slot below the nut. Thats the only way I change bits now. I think youll like this tool. Lost Art Press Blog.

The Woodshop Bug: December 2010
http://woodshopbug.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 1, 2010. A while back I made a saw using a kit I purchased from Wenzloff and Sons. While I had no problems getting exactly what I wanted, Wenzloff and Sons has a new and improved website, and I am very impressed with the information, and options available. I think that every small tool company should have a site as good as theirs (hear me St. James Bay tools? Without this being a shameless plug for a quality sawmaker, they are also offering $20 off of all shipping until December 15.

Sunday, February 27, 2011. What Has Been Going On? Nothing much. I seem to have been hit with a combination of lack of shop time and lack of shop projects, so there really hasn't really been much activity in the shop. I have been working on finishing up a large maple cutting board,. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Norse Woodsmith Blog Feeds. Dorset Custom Furniture - A Woodworkers Photo Journal. The Woodshop Bug: December 2011
http://woodshopbug.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 30, 2011. Well it's been exactly 4 months and 2 days since I last posted- but I haven't stopped woodworking. I wanted to finish up the stool project and I just rushed ahead with it, instead of documenting it thoroughly. So here it is:. This year as a Christmas gift, I made a small cheese board, from the wood that I rescued from the city dump. It has walnut runners dadoed into the bottom. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
