My Heart is in Helsinki: November 2008
http://myheartisinhelsinki.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
My Heart is in Helsinki. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Time for a change. So i don't know if it's not cool to have a background that doesn't scroll or not. I think it might be a design no-no, but i don't care. The background picture is one i took near Saila's parents house in Espoo, and it makes me feel good. I think everything is just a whole lot less ugly. Which is what i was going for. I hope it's not as painful to visit this site now. The old one was pretty brutal. Tuesday, November 11, 2008. My Heart is in Helsinki. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. In one week i'll be on my way to Pittburgh with Tony to take the Judging Workshop for NERBC/MARBC. I'm super pumped. My Heart is in Helsinki: Notes from barista coach (even though i've said i don't like the word coach)
http://myheartisinhelsinki.blogspot.com/2009/02/notes-from-barista-coach-even-though.html
My Heart is in Helsinki. Monday, February 16, 2009. Notes from barista coach (even though i've said i don't like the word coach). I know Josh, Danielle, and Crystal (and Tony, John, Diane, and most of the Octane crew who picked up some slack at the shop) have had similar experiences over the past few weeks as well. All for the love of coffee and the specialty coffee industry and a few moments of glory. Labels: Coffee: Adventures in Coffee. Coffee: Octane is kind of a big deal. View my page on.

PamSpace: August 2008
http://pamathlon.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 9, 2008. Take one part pointless activity, a dash of sarcastic and biting judging, several bottles of proud sponsor, Cuervo Black. And a sprinkling of heavy metal classics. What do you have? A night of manic , hysterical amusement. Who needs the Olympics? Sunday, August 3, 2008. Do we wake up in the morning and put on compassion like it's an accessory? A few weeks ago, a Farmer's Market opened in my neighborhood. The neighborhood association. A little too far here? Are those pesky Oregon...

PamSpace: Nautica Malibu
http://pamathlon.blogspot.com/2008/09/nautica-malibu.html
Thursday, September 18, 2008. In his own version of the midlife crisis, my brother decided he wanted to jump on the triathlon bandwagon, and asked me if I had any interest in doing the Nautica Malibu triathlon. Despite the fact that I've officially retired from TNT. I managed to train somewhat regularly over the summer. I even did a great swim in Aquatic Park. Historically, the race has been a celebrity triathlon offering a sprint distance only. The race directors must have looked at their financial ...

Sunday, September 28, 2008. Don't ask me how, but Matthes, the INDOOR CAT, has gotten fleas. In the past month, I have flea bombed, I have had pest control come and spray toxic chemicals, I have washed my bedding and vacuumed maniacally, I have put Matthes on Advantage (a funny story for another blog entry). And tonight, I returned from a wonderfully relaxing and flea-free weekend at Sea Ranch. To find fleas, fleas and more fleas. I decided it was time to give Matthes a flea bath. Man on bike killed.

A blog by Stephen Morrissey. January 2, 2012. January 2, 2012. Every morning I make breakfast, and Jen makes the coffee. We rarely have cereal or yoghurt, but opt instead for different things with eggs. This comes from many failed attempts at committing to Paleo or more recently the Slow Carb diet. I’m quite certain that large parts of my being consist of butter, bacon and eggs, and whats more worrying is I don’t feel too bad. 7 out of 10 times, I fuck up the brew. Its nearly always over extracted &#...

Sunday, February 24, 2008. It's kinda nice when we get a Sunday off from training. Today, Mother Nature is to thank, the big storm moved in with high winds rendering us unsafe to bike. Instead, I met up with a few of my teammates* at Koret. For a swim at the much more reasonable hour of 9:30. With my grandparents in town this weekend, I've been working more on my endurance eating and drinking, so I was grateful to get in a good night's sleep after a great meal at Bar Bambino.
