Malc in the Burgh: February 2010
http://malcintheburgh.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 February 2010. Blog Exclusive: Green Candidate. My sources have pointed me in the direction of a scoop. The Scottish blogosphere's very own James MacKenzie, of Two Doctors. Fame, has been selected by the Scottish Green Party to contest the constituency of East Lothian at the upcoming Westminster election. Unlike the news article above, I'm going to try and report this news without any mistakes (one Green MSP? And they have James down as 37 - he's not a day over 25! 160;Links to this post.

Malc in the Burgh: September 2010
http://malcintheburgh.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 2 September 2010. This post is serving two functions. Firstly, it is a thank you to everyone who has read my ramblings over the past three years and voted for me in the Total Politics awards. I'm not folding MitB entirely, but I am recognising that the rate of posting has withered a bit over the past few months, and in that sense, it is all but done. And we hope it will be a collaboration of good quality work (well, each of the three of us made the Total Politics Top 10. 160;Links to this post.

Political Dissuasion: March 2009
http://politicaldissuasion.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 March 2009. Mr and Mrs Smith = nothing. Jacqui Smith is rumoured to be a dead-cert for being 'redistributed' during a reshuffle, obviously having to pay the maximum price for the porngate incident. I'm not a huge fan of the Home Secretary, but this seems like the MSM going way, way over the top and holding a staggering grip of power over public opinion and British politics. The Fred Goodwin issue was bad enough. And when it's a mistake (would a politician. Links to this post. Has been frowned...

Political Dissuasion: What is a REAL Tory?
http://politicaldissuasion.blogspot.com/2010/04/what-is-real-tory.html
Tuesday, 20 April 2010. What is a REAL Tory? Want to know what the Tories are really like? Think Cameron's representing the Conservative Party members when he tries to be a friendly face, Dave-from-next-door type? So what do real Tories, if Cam ain't one, believe in? The real Tories want us out of the EU as soon as possible. Reversing the smoking ban "would at once collect votes in millions". Really? In comparison with Istanbul, he explains."If an able-bodied young man started begging, he would be ho...

Political Dissuasion: LibDem Tactical Voting?
http://politicaldissuasion.blogspot.com/2010/04/libdem-tactical-voting.html
Tuesday, 13 April 2010. I have just watched the Paxman interview with Nick Clegg. First off, Paxman is atrocious. Why can't we have Dimbleby as the pointman at the BBC? Nick Clegg, starting from a weak Lib Dem position and up against a system and media that seems committed to maintaining a Labour/Conservative grip on our political system, is a man doing a tough job and is fighting against a strong current. Will many people who aren't politically-minded have watched this? The Nick Clegg interview. By not ...

Political Dissuasion: November 2009
http://politicaldissuasion.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 17 November 2009. The BBC begins advertising. Some of you may not be aware, but as of today, the BBC website has been including adverts on it's website. The Beeb, paid for by taxpayers, has very quietly found a revenue stream outwith that of our pockets. However, if you go to the BBC News pages, you probably won't see it. That's because it is (apparently) advertising only "to visitors outside of the UK". Being moved about 4 inches down, out of view when you first open the page). But my first big...

Political Dissuasion: Does Alex Salmond hate Scotland? Or is he just an idiot?
http://politicaldissuasion.blogspot.com/2010/04/does-alex-salmond-hate-scotland-or-is.html
Thursday, 22 April 2010. Does Alex Salmond hate Scotland? Or is he just an idiot? I honestly can't decide. Salmond has announced that a hung Parliament will be the most beneficial result for the Scottish people. He believes that without one party dictating it's will upon the political process and country at large, "Scotland's greatest opportunity exists". This is why he is either an idiot or doesn't love his country. THE CASE FOR 'SALMOND THE IDIOT'. THE CASE FOR SALMOND: 'HATER OF SCOTLAND'. Poll-tax re...

Key bored warrior: October 2011
http://keyboredwarrior.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 17 October 2011. Dougies adventures in Alexanderland. I actually took time to read @Douglas Alexanders speech from Stirling University. It was depressing London Labour tripe. Full of hypocrisy and irony. One paragraph stood out like a sore thumb. However the share price of Johnston Press resides in the penny shares basement along with the reputation of The Scotsman, which has now reverted to a generic type of forum that practically throttles discussion the way the BBC blogs do. So I guess you...
