two little chefs: Roasted Vegetable Lasagna

http://twolittlechefs.blogspot.com/2010/03/roasted-vegetable-lasagna.html

Tuesday, March 23, 2010. After a nice, but altogether too short spring break, we're back. We hope you missed us. This dish is not your typical lasagna. It's layered with vegetables and a white sauce (béchamel) rather than meat and tomatoes. And it's really good. I can't wait to make it during the summer when I can pick all of these ingredients from my garden. Recipe adapted from Gourmet. 1 large eggplant, sliced 1/4 inch thick. 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil. 1 yellow onion, quartered. While vegeta...

two little chefs: Potato Kale Bake

http://twolittlechefs.blogspot.com/2012/10/potato-kale-bake.html

Monday, October 22, 2012. I love and hate Sundays. I love them because it's the one day of the week when I generally don't have anything I simply have. To do- I can sleep in, go for a long walk, relax, cook, read, go to church, talk with family, watch movies, etc. I hate them because we have church at 3. 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Recipe adapted from Gourmet. 1 lb kale, tough stems and center ribs discarded, roughly chopped. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped. 3/4 teaspoon black pepper. Cover...

two little chefs: Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

http://twolittlechefs.blogspot.com/2012/10/pumpkin-cinnamon-rolls.html

Tuesday, October 9, 2012. It's that time of year when we start baking more and more. We use up our supply of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice. Our homes smell wonderful and our pants get a little snug. So let it begin with these heavenly. The little white dots are powdered sugar that I didn't mix in well enough.). Or our Pumpkin Cookies. A hard decision to be sure.). Recipe from everydayfoodstorage.net. 189; cup sugar. 188; cup oil. 190; cup warm water. 189; cup canned pumpkin. 188; cup butter.

two little chefs: Orrechiette Carbonara

http://twolittlechefs.blogspot.com/2009/09/orrechiette-carbonara.html

Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Pasta alla Carbonara is a traditional Italian dish originating in the Lazio region of Italy (where you find Rome). Although the exact measurements vary, recipes almost always include cheese, eggs, pork (usually pancetta, aka, bacon) and black pepper, served over some type of pasta. The combination makes a silky, creamy, not too salty (but just salty enough) sauce. Try serving with Red Bell Peppers with Spinach and Raisins. Or Green Beans with Shallots and Toasted Almonds.

How does a Clark survive the wild, wonderful world? Read on my friend, read on. Whatis expecting good sentence structure, clear cohesive sentences and paragraphs, and giving credit where credit is due (i.e. so I copied this out of the textbook, do I really have to give the author of the book credit? Too much to ask? People, I teach COMMUNICATIONS! Be able to write well in my class, funny that a communications teacher would want clear writing! Back from New Orleans. We are back from New Orleans. It was hot and humid, but livable. The one thing I had a hard time getting used to was how high they set the air conditioners in the convention center and the restaurants. It was unbearable and very cold. In fact I had to leave a meeting because I was so cold.

Our Journey With Twins. August 15, 2014. It was the babies’ first time at the beach. B usually doesn’t take to new experiences and textures but he loved the sand and had a great time! I’ve got tons of pictures – I’ll put up some of the best ones, I know I have family members printing them out! That’s enough for now I think. More after their bday party! It’s been a month. Evelyn and Type 1. I've been dwelling over how I am going to talk about this. It has been 3 months since Evelyn's diagnosis and I still haven't had the words to explain and express all that has been happening. So I am just going to start and see how this all ends up. Then I started to notice that she was drinking a lot of water. She was so thirsty she just couldn't quench it. One day she drank over 150 ounces. One weekend she woke up 3 times to go to the bathroom. We waited in the office and she was star...
