Tuesday, August 28, 2007. Reflecting on August 29th 2007. I had the opportunity to spend the summer working with some amazing people in efforts to build the New Orleans community and it changed my life. I grew up while I was there. I saw new hues of the universal qualities inherent to the human condition, remembered that I am the only person who can allow myself to be happy and I began to make art for myself. When we took the stage at Woodlands on October 7th to release our third studio album we couldn't believe how many of you came out to show your support - it was an amazing night for all of us. Thank you for helping to make this band and this album release such a success! But sometimes life happens and you need to take some time for yourself to reflect, to heal, and to grow - that's what the band needs right now.
