ASHFORDLY POLICE STATION: Gone Fishing!!!
http://ashfordly-police.blogspot.com/2008/03/gone-fishing.html
Providing Quality Policing Services in a rural community. Despite the best efforts of politicians! Views expressed here do not reflect 'official' policy. The stress and strain of modern policing may be getting too much however, retirement is on the horizon and I'm spending the last few weeks taking it easy and doing what I want instead of what the job wants! I may well continue with the views of a bitter and twisted retired old sweat but for now. I've gone fishing! 26 Mar 2009, 23:29:00. Big Fella in Blue.

SOCIALISM: December 2008
http://socialism-ontherise.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 07, 2008. Why Jefferson hated the Federal Bank:. 1 It received one fifth of its monies from the Government and four fifths from the private sector. That the government shouldn’t be involved in a private corporation, and that, most of the money belonged to the people and was loaned to the few to gamble and get rich. In studying history, you don’t use hindsight, but rather, go back and read forward putting yourself in their situation. How could Jefferson not see that commerce and...Europe ...

SOCIALISM: June 2009
http://socialism-ontherise.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 03, 2009. How will our economy work without economic calculation? If government owns the tool of production, it also owns you. I ask, how will they determine what to produce and how many and in what kind of variety? How will they determine wages? What happens when they over produce products which have little demand, leaving many unemployed? That’s right, unemployment is more prevalent in socialist countries than in capitalist countries. What choices lie ahead for the consumers? Note: You ...

SOCIALISM
http://socialism-ontherise.blogspot.com/2009/07/boston-tea-party-king-sent-shipments-of.html
Wednesday, July 01, 2009. The Boston Tea Party. The King sent shipments of tea to the Boston harbor at such a bargain price, that for the first time, America could enjoy tea at a cheaper price than the British back home. The tax on the tea was insignificant, so why all the fuss? You see, the tea was originally shipped to India, but they were in such poor shape economically that England decided to help relieve India’s debt by shipping this tea from India to America at an irresistible price. He just didn&#...

ASHFORDLY POLICE STATION: This Station (like many others) is now Closed
http://ashfordly-police.blogspot.com/2009/10/this-station-like-many-others-is-now.html
Providing Quality Policing Services in a rural community. Despite the best efforts of politicians! Views expressed here do not reflect 'official' policy. This Station (like many others) is now Closed. Like many areas of traditional policing (as we once knew it in the UK), this station has now closed down. The last encumbent, one of the many 'Edmund Davies' babies, has now completed his thirty years, has no interest in continuing until the age of 55yrs and has shuffled off into blissfull retirement.

ASHFORDLY POLICE STATION: Do we have Safer Neighbourhoods?
http://ashfordly-police.blogspot.com/2008/01/do-we-have-safer-neighbourhoods.html
Providing Quality Policing Services in a rural community. Despite the best efforts of politicians! Views expressed here do not reflect 'official' policy. Do we have Safer Neighbourhoods? Well that's it. Christmas and New Year over with for another 12 months and back to some sort of normality. Maybe, but should we carry on accepting what we now call normality? Is it normal to have kids killing each other with knives and guns? It's certainly not a level of normality I am proud of. Are you? Started in 1993 ...
