Ty and Ida On the Road. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Black Canyon to Gunnison. Colorado has been going through a heat wave, over 100 in some areas. We found a nice RV park in Olathe on the Uncompahgre River for a couple of days of air conditioning. We then left for the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Ty and Ida On the Road. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. We followed the Pacific Ocean to Westport, WA and found a good area for shorebirds on the huge shallow bay of Grays Harbor. We counted 514 Red Knots, with smaller numbers of Sanderlings, Dunlin, Western Sandpipers, Black-bellied Plovers and Short-billed Dowitchers.
