2011 JDRF Walk to Cure. Saturday, November 19, 2011. D-Mamas (and PWDs) are like Boy Scouts. Last night (actually 2 weekends ago since this post has been sitting) turned out to be a "shining" example of why I try to always follow the Boy Scout motto, "always be prepared". What started out as a visit to Charlotte's Am-maw and Paw-Paw's house for dinner and to watch a football game could have ended in disaster if I hadn't been prepared for the unexpected. I did a quick scan of Charlotte's supplies and was ...

2011 JDRF Walk to Cure. Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Diabetes in the "Wild". This past Sunday morning, hubby and I decided to take our girls for a special breakfast. Despite the stolen hour of sleep, we woke up "early" (for me anyway) and took the girls to Cafe du Monde for some delicious beignets (fried dough sprinkled with powdered sugar - the yummy goodness in my blog title photo).and a Mocha Au Lait for me! Pic from a Cafe du Monde breakfast with the cousins in May 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). When ...

https://sugarnothanks.wordpress.com/2011/11
Sugar, no thanks! You are currently browsing the monthly archive for November 2011. November 2, 2011 in Uncategorized. I’m pretty busy lately. I’ve organized some stuff about my studies. This is my last year at the university so I have to figure out what kind of a final project would I like to make. That’s actually a lot tougher than I thought. And so I’ve thought a lot lately about how could I improve my health, and how to feel better. Dandelions, daisies and diabetes. Day by day with diabetes. Ben East...

Sugar, no thanks! Who, who, who, who? May 18, 2011 in Uncategorized. After the rainy weekend I’m so glad to see the sun shining again. It’s so much fun when it’s warm and everybody is walking around with summer clothes and summer spirit. This could be very dangerous when there is plenty of work to be done and stuff that you must learn. Wouldn’t it be a very nice ending of the busy week? For now I’m only sure that I would take the opening song of CSI Las Vegas Who you are. 8220;Who are you? Notify me of n...

Sugar, no thanks! May 11, 2011 in Uncategorized. Tags: daibetes blog week. It’s been a really long long day! This really made me laugh. What a blooper, huh? In some ironical way the topic today is to write about Diabetes bloopers. I’ve just had one. It has nothing to do with diabetes, but still a blooper, right? But there is one story I could tell. It is not a funny one at all. But still…. There’s a thing about me – I do not like to tell people about my diabetes. Only my family and my clo...So, again to ...
