Steph's Blog: Podcasts
http://slash29405.blogspot.com/2009/10/podcasts.html
Wednesday, October 28, 2009. I found a podcast comparing the collision theory. During a chemical reaction to basketball. Since Regents and General Chemistry study kinetic and chemical reactions, this would a helpful way for some of them to hear it presented another way especially using a sports illustration. The more learning styles I can reach the better. November 7, 2009 at 12:06 PM. The podcast sounds as if it would be useful, but the link does not take us to the podcast. Please try again.

Sunday, December 6, 2009. Coffee Break Spanish is a series of podcasts that provide dialogs with specific vocabulary and are read with a Spanish accent rather than a Latin American accent. They can be very beneficial while learning Spanish because it goes into detail about the entire dialog after it is read and even gives some alternative vocabulary that could be used. There is one podcast - Lesson 37. Labels: coffee break spanish. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Heather's Blog for LAI 684. My Blog Has Moved!

Steph's Blog: ePals in the Classroom
http://slash29405.blogspot.com/2009/09/epals-in-classroom.html
Monday, September 7, 2009. EPals in the Classroom. I think I could use this in my teaching by connecting to another classroom about the subject of measurement. Most other countries use the metric system which is common in chemistry. We could collaborate and learn from another country on how to accurately use the metric system. November 6, 2009 at 6:46 AM. You have found some perfect topic to collaborate on with classes around the world. I hope you get the opportunity to try out your ideas.

Steph's Blog: Videos in the Classroom
http://slash29405.blogspot.com/2009/09/videos-in-classroom.html
Monday, September 7, 2009. Videos in the Classroom. I could use the Crushing Can Demonstration in my classroom to show them the relationship between temperature and pressure. I would probably also let them do this in class themselves but this way they could see what would happen and how the experiment works. This would be true for other demonstrations found online, especially ones that I can't do in the classroom because it's too dangerous. November 3, 2009 at 10:22 AM.
