Exploring Law and the Land. September 22, 2014. As a birthday present, my s.o. bought me one of those DNA tests that tell you what your dog is. The perfect gift – too frivolous to justify getting myself but, oh man, was I excited to find out. Of course, the test takes two to three weeks to process. Meanwhile, the bar examiners release results weeks and agonizing weeeeeeks after the exam. It was a good weekend. Working. Sort of. Stack and Associates, P.C. Southern Environmental Law Center.

Get the Dirt Out :: Overview
http://www.getthedirtout.org/t_main.html
In January 2005, Get the Dirt Out. Began as an investigation by the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper of Georgia's erosion and sediment controls for construction sites and the resulting improvement to water quality. In fact, a revised General Permit was issued in 2008. UCR and its partner groups have revised the materials to reflect these revisions and we continue to present the GTDO program to citizens, developers and local governments. If you live in Georgia and you are concerned about the damage that se...

Exploring Law and the Land. Oral Arguments, a Good Opinion Lost, and My Weapon. July 22, 2010. This week I attended my very first real live oral argument on some permit issues. Faaaaaascinating. What’s funny, is it shouldn’t have been. I mean, this kind of law is super technical, where you’re basically arguing about whether or not this word in a regulation meant the same thing as that word in a statute. […]. Working. Sort of. Exploring Law and the Land. Reasons to do Environmental Law (or: how I didn’t sit behind a desk). May 28, 2010. I was going to write an intelligent blog about confidentiality, and how it goes beyond what you learn in Professional Responsibility class and touches on strategy and all that good stuff. But then my first week with internship number two began, and even with the constraints of Confidential World, I have more fun things to […]. Working. Sort of. Working. Sort of. Exploring Law and the Land. Blog Hard. Tree Pretty. January 7, 2013. So, in addition to my litigation work with King, King and Jones, I do contract research and writing work for civil firms. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, but all of the circumspection and confidentiality makes it difficult to blog. Continue reading “Blog Hard. Tree Pretty.”. September 9, 2012. Exploring Law and the Land. What Would Robin Hood Do? May 21, 2010. I just wrote a research paper on vacant, blighted lots in Atlanta and their effect on neighborhoods. Turns out the city actually does have a whole system in place – in theory – to keep them from happening. There is stuff in the code about structural problems, garbage, attracting criminal activities, graffiti. . .you name […]. Working. Sort of. Stack and Associates, P.C. Exploring Law and the Land. And he said it! And he said it! January 22, 2013. I watched the inauguration yesterday on Youtube. I loved it. I even loved Beyonce, who, frankly, ordinarily does nothing for me. The choir made me cry. (In a good way.) After so much contention and struggle, it was absolutely blissful to see a ceremony that hit on nearly every issue I really care about. Working. Sort of. Stack and Associates, P.C.
