This is now a legacy site for the 2008-9 strategic review of green IT in UK further and higher education which was commissioned by JISC, and conducted by HEEPI. The IT work continues under the SusteIT 'brand' with new JISC-funded HEEPI projects on greening scientific computing and videoconferencing, and involvement in the EAUC energy and carbon improvement initiative in London , Yorkshire and Scotland. New projects - Green In Silico and Videoconferencing. Monday 18th January 2010. HEEPI have obtained funding from JISC as part of their Greening ICT programme for two projects exploring different aspects of green IT. The two projects are:. A 12-month project which focuses on videoconferencing-based remote collaboration. As well as developing tools to quantify environmental benefits, the project will run 2-3 demonstration projects with the aim of highlighting areas of major opportunity.
