http://patchingpixies.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
What I've Been Reading. Saturday, 30 May 2015. Last Week of Green. This year, the colour of the month for May in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. That Angela runs has been green. Somehow, May whizzed past me in a blur. For starters we didn't get back from overseas until the 5th. Being away for a month meant a huge backlog of "stuff" that needed attention, and then last weekend I went on retreat. They came together quickly, and soon there were 15. I got most of it done at the retreat - just 2 borders to sew o...

Fabadashery: 4th July Independence Day Patriotic Mug Rug
http://fabadashery.blogspot.com/2015/07/4th-july-independence-day-patritic-mug.html
Saturday, 4 July 2015. 4th July Independence Day Patriotic Mug Rug. 4th July Mug Rug. Happy Fourth of July! OK, so I am in the UK and naturally it is not one of our Public Holidays, but I love the colour scheme of red, white and blue and I felt the urge to make something quick and easy. As part of the Mini Doll quilt swap. Just by using a few squares of fabric I had enough to cut strips for three scrappy mug rugs, two for my swap partners in the Mini Doll quilt swap. Foundation Piecing - Carol Doak paper.

The Flashing Scissors: October 2016
http://theflashingscissors.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 22, 2016. Finish it off Friday - My Very Puffy Key Tray / Nancy's Halloween Giveaway. Eeek, I'm a little bit late, but . Yipee, I have a finish! I started making this Key Tray a couple of weeks ago, it took much longer than I thought to finish, but I did use double the wadding which made the quilting slow going! I used stab stitch, checking how the stitches looked on the back as I stitched each stitch . I would have liked them to be neater! Some other stitching project. There is still t...

Lemur On A Stick. Tuesday, 26 March 2013. Oh boy, is it my day already? Have you been following the Stitch me up blog hop? What an amazingly talented bunch of stitchers there are out there. The designs provided for the participants are stunning, and it has been great seeing everyones' interpretations of them all. First up, a complete disaster. I have given up on this one as I have decided that black just shows up my poor quality stitching WAAAAAY too much. Also, a huge thank you to the pattern designers.

Turn It Up! – Clothed with Joy

Single Parent, Single Woman. Sometimes Funny, Sometimes Not. June 14, 2015. June 13, 2015. One of my greatest delights is standing between my children in church and hearing their sweet voices join mine in worship. Now before you get the wrong idea, my two little ones are experts at disturbing these idyllic moments. The truth is, it’s not unusual for me to lose a child. I once again return to singing and soon realize the five year old is now lying in the middle of the aisle, I whisper loudly to her,.

Not Awesome – Clothed with Joy
https://iamclothedwithjoy.com/2015/06/02/not-awesome
Single Parent, Single Woman. Sometimes Funny, Sometimes Not. June 2, 2015. June 1, 2015. Everything is not always awesome. If you’ve been a mother for any amount of time you’ve probably experienced your child being hurt. Not physically hurt, although that happens often enough, but hurt. Recently my teenage daughter texted me and asked to be picked up early from a school event. Once home she asked me for a hug and cried in my arms for a while. Feelings were hurt. Kids were mean. My heart breaks. Whose hea...
