For two centuries until it recolonised the south coast from northern France in the late eighties. For the time being it’s still Amber listed. By the RSPB as a rare breeding species, but is increasing in number and can be seen on the mudflats of the Camel. Gadding about in shallow water, you should be able to spot it.
