Ignite Your Potential | The Learning and Becoming of Intimacy
http://ignitepotential.com/2014/11/intimacy
The Learning and Becoming of Intimacy – Ignite Your Potential. The Learning and Becoming of Intimacy. November 9, 2014. There’s a paradox regarding intimacy. You would think that healthy intimacy is centered on what happens between two people. Yet relationship experts (such as David Schnarch. These practices allow us the time and space to be with ourselves and strengthen our ability to quiet the mind, look inward, and observe ourselves. Another aspect of this “self-relationship” is delving in...Exploring...

Another World Is Probable: Reverence for Everything
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2015/05/reverence-for-everything.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, May 17, 2015. One of the things that's been bugging me is the disposable nature of the goods our society makes. Appliances aren't built to last anymore, they're built to break. Because if something breaks then we'll buy another one. Why aren't we holding inanimate objects as sacred? Should inanimate even be. Is something only sacred if it has a soul? Do inanimate objects have a soul? Or something man-made like concrete? Right now I'm trying to hold everything as sacred.

Another World Is Probable: December 2014
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, December 28, 2014. Love for the New Year. I've tried to escape pain, to only experience pleasure, but pain is inescapable. There will always. Be pain and there will always be pleasure, but there will also always be something more than either. Call it love, call it God, call it Spirit, call it the universe. There exists something beyond me, that's bigger than me that gives me peace of mind no matter what. This isn't me but it could be. Sunday, December 21, 2014. One of t...

Another World Is Probable: February 2015
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, February 22, 2015. All in the Head. This week I had a funny incident take place that showed me just how much of the anxiety I experience is of my own making. They don't want to be friends anymore! They're trying to send me a passive-aggressive message! Wouldn't it be cool if we could take certain things out of our heads like taking off a mask? Ridiculous – but that's where my brain goes and it takes a lot to convince me otherwise. It reminded me that so much of what I'm...

Another World Is Probable: Perfection Is Not a Requirement for Love
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2015/04/perfection-is-not-requirement-for-love.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Perfection Is Not a Requirement for Love. This post is a bit of a rehash of one I wrote four years ago because I'm noticing perfectionism surfacing once again. Yikes That means there's a whole lot of pressure to never make a mistake and always do the right thing. In this context, it makes sense why if I send the wrong email attachment or tell a fib, my freakout is not on par with the event itself because the whole thing becomes much more serious. In fact...

Another World Is Probable: Sensitivity as a Gift
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2015/04/sensitivity-as-gift.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, April 5, 2015. Sensitivity as a Gift. The other day, a man menacingly said, “Smile! My response was, “What's with all the aggression today? 8221; In that moment, it became clearer to me exactly why sensitivity is a gift. I didn't enjoy seeing the aggression; I didn't want to fight the menacing man. I was horrified by all of the events. Sometimes I feel like a sensitive baby deer. But that's a good thing. Say that to me and I did. Would we have the same number of wars?

Another World Is Probable: Ascribing Meaning
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2015/04/ascribing-meaning.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, April 12, 2015. I bring this up because how often do we torture ourselves by ascribing meaning to things when they're not needed? This person is a cool, confident, world traveler. Oh wait, I can't know any of that. . . I touched on this a few weeks ago in my post “ All in the Head. 8221; about anxiety. However, I'm also noticing ascribing meaning to things sometimes doesn't create anxiety. Sometimes it's a lie or a way to create melodrama. Sensitivity as a Gift.

Another World Is Probable: March 2015
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, March 29, 2015. The other day the blinds fell off my window. They landed in such a way that nothing was broken or harmed – no small task considering my desk sits in front of the window and is littered with knickknacks, a monitor, my computer, my printer, etc. When the blinds, fell it got me thinking about the unavoidable, uncontrollable things in life. I'd like to think in some ways I'm wrapped in yarn. When I got hit by a car as a pedestrian in November 2013, all I cou...

Another World Is Probable: April 2015
http://anotherworldisprobable.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Another World Is Probable. Sunday, April 26, 2015. Last week my neighbor's car was broken into while it was parked in our gated lot. Normally when something like that happens, I immediately assume I'm next. Never mind that I don't have a car, a break-in of some sort is inevitable! It doesn't even have to be a break-in, it could be getting bit by a spider; if we're in the same vicinity and something happens to you, I think the same thing will happen to me. I dream of a world where we all live in rainbow r...
