NYC PUBLIC SCHOOL BLUE: chronic teacher fatigue?
http://nycpublicschoolblue.blogspot.com/2008/01/chronic-teacher-fatigue.html
Thursday, January 10, 2008. I doubt the AMA recognizes such a condition, but if they did - I suspect I'm suffering from it. I'm slipping further and further behind in the curriculum due to this damn test. I can't wait for it to be over. 17 (really 15) more years. That's why I never give lunch detention- that's more of a punishment for me. Even as a math teacher, I can relate. Insanity. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. NYC PUBLIC SCHOOL BLUE: how small is too small
http://nycpublicschoolblue.blogspot.com/2007/12/how-small-is-too-small.html
Tuesday, December 11, 2007. How small is too small. I think that the last couple of posts deserve some clarification. My position entails working with just about every class, every day. I guess due to this small community, we're particularly close to our students. My colleagues talk "kid" all of the time. Which kid isn't turning in homework? Which kid seems despondent? What am I going to do about this kid's difficulty grasping a thesis sentence? Is this the right place for me right now? From what I'm dis...

Unbalanced Literacy: Day One, Post 100
http://missmalarkey.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-one-post-100.html
Living proof that it's possible to invest twelve years in an inner city middle school without ending up on the front page of the Daily News. So far. Day One, Post 100. This will be nothing significant, but I want to get into the habit again, of at least writing something, even if it's not worth reading. (Sorry.). I'm looking forward to meeting the kids, but tomorrow's going to come too quickly. Tuesday, September 08, 2009. So once you reach the top, you are rewarded with bad grades. September 10, 2009.

Unbalanced Literacy: Updates on Various
http://missmalarkey.blogspot.com/2009/08/updates-on-various.html
Living proof that it's possible to invest twelve years in an inner city middle school without ending up on the front page of the Daily News. So far. In brief, since. Is on in 13 minutes and it's about the only show I watch anymore. (And thanks to Schoolgal for thinking of me again; I wonder if anyone's even reading anymore? I hate that I let this blog get so neglected.). And that's all for now. Thursday, August 27, 2009. I was glad to hear from you! Sorry to hear about your tough class. The class I w...

Unbalanced Literacy: Is diagnosing teacher burnout like determining recession?
http://missmalarkey.blogspot.com/2008/12/is-diagnosing-teacher-burnout-like.html
Living proof that it's possible to invest twelve years in an inner city middle school without ending up on the front page of the Daily News. So far. Is diagnosing teacher burnout like determining recession? Two Christmas vacations from now, will I be on a long-awaited, child-free vacation with my husband, drunk on daquiris, and realize that I've been living burnout for most of the last decade? If I fall out the window "accidentally" is that considered an on-the-job injury? Friday, December 05, 2008.

The Official Blog of the Independent Community of Educators, a caucus of the United Federation of Teachers. Saturday, August 01, 2015. AFT MEMBERS SUPPORT HILLARY VIDEO (PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS ON YOU TUBE). The comments on the AFT supports Hillary video. Are more entertaining than the video. As a non-Hillary, non-Sanders supporter, I will leave the editorializing to you. I just hope Bernie appreciates the comments and will rethink his votes when the senate and house try to bring the 2 bills together.
