Unmeasured Confounder: Wow, I actually did it

http://unmeasuredconfounder.blogspot.com/2010/04/wow-i-actually-did-it.html

Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Wow, I actually did it. I am happy to report that. I defended my thesis! I still can't quite believe it. It's been a tough road. I don't yet feel the elation I thought I would. It's more just a huge relief. And I am so utterly tired. I think I could sleep for days. Once I find the energy again, I'll be sure to celebrate for days. Weeks, even. Maybe the whole darn summer. April 21, 2010 at 6:37 PM. Congrats on the accomplishment. April 21, 2010 at 8:13 PM. Wow, I actually did it.

Unmeasured Confounder: January 2010

http://unmeasuredconfounder.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Monday, January 4, 2010. 2010 is the year. I will finish my PhD this year. It's been a long haul, but I can finally say that with conviction. But then what? That's what I need to decide. The default plan is to stay with my current group, in a postdoc of sorts, while I figure things out. With uncertainty looming, I'm struck by the desire to chronicle this transition and what might come next. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am a brand new postdoc. It's a slight adjustment.

What I want to say about academic science, publishing, and well, anything else really. Skip to primary content. Red pen, or track changes? February 21, 2010. Because it is, you know, Sunday morning, and I have a nice cup of tea in front of me, and the kids are playing quietly in the back of the house, and DrMrA is watching soccer, I think I’ll blog. The New York Times sitting next to me can wait. Do they really have to read as carefully as they would if I put it all down in pen- are they just selecting &...

In any case i need to write again, i need that stretch of space. Where i can sort through my thoughts. I need the bodiless weight of words. The long lost whirl of words. Designed by Three Circles.

Unmeasured Journeys | Because life is a series of vibrant, wondrous journeys.

Because life is a series of vibrant, wondrous journeys. A Key Switched On. January 7, 2017. Do you ever have an idea appear out of nowhere, and instead of completely dismissing it, you run with it? That happened to me this morning. I woke up around 6:00 am with an awful headache, so I went bad to bed. Luckily when I woke up later I was feeling a bit better. When I walked into the kitchen, I suddenly had an idea for a book. Like me. Writing a book. Completely. How does that even happen? December 27, 2016.

Anyways, I had a lot of things I wanted to do this month, including blog more than once. But since this baby is coming anyDAYnowOMG. Half a chopped p...

In fact there are a lot of things that make up a great visit to a bar - whether it's a one time visit while traveling or another regular evening at your local.
