The word the lord said when he made the world. Friday, May 6, 2011. I'm sitting here, just reading the newspaper as i put it out, and somehow got trapped in the following non-conversation:. A girl wearing a lovely horse shirt (you know the kind) and a cap walks by the desk, saying, "hmm, do i listen to holding out for a hero or skip to another song? Decisions, decisions." she stops, turns and looks at me. "i know! I'll listen to honey honey! I just bought their whole album! She waves her hands in the air.

The word the lord said when he made the world. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Monday, September 27, 2010. Wonder of wonders, the sky was actually blue. Which meant it was also miserably hot. Go easy little doves. But then i sit in the program house, listening to the fans and my friends talking, and eating my frozen cadbury bar that i bought from the store up the street for less than a dollar, while my hair dries in the everlasting heat, and life feels good. Or i lay on my bed after all my work for the day...

The word the lord said when he made the world. Friday, July 22, 2011. And so it ended. One year ago today, i boarded a plane to india and thus began the weirdest adventure of my life. Here's some things i should have posted seven months ago, but didn't, all in one ginormous post. 30 more things i learned in mumbai. Most people haven't heard of vizag and can't even say visakhapatnam. No matter what i wear, i will always be stared at. Stay away from street food. Hot showers make everything better. My great...

A Sophisticated Rhetorician Intoxicated By The Exuberance Of My Own Verbosity. Sunday, November 18, 2012. One reason I find social interactions confusing is that there are so many questions that have secret, pre-set correct answers. And there's no rule-book, so you've just got to figure this out on your own. Some questions only have one correct answer. For instance, if your mom says, "Cindy, would you like to help wash these dishes? But I don't really want to know if you think this makes me horrible.

LaserLady: Italy -- Day One
http://laserlady.blogspot.com/2012/11/italy-day-one.html
A Sophisticated Rhetorician Intoxicated By The Exuberance Of My Own Verbosity. Sunday, November 11, 2012. Italy - Day One. There are some good views on the flight from Paris to Naples. Actually, on initial impression, Naples reminded me quite a bit of India. There were the same kinds of trash piles on the sides of the road, colorful laundry was hanging from most of the apartments, and the buildings showed the same signs of having too much humidity and too little upkeep. Instead, the more sensible members...

A Sophisticated Rhetorician Intoxicated By The Exuberance Of My Own Verbosity. Sunday, May 27, 2012. Elementary, my dear Watson. I guess detectives who leap to assumptions make for better TV, but I always worry that real police will think they can do the same thing in real life. And in fact, they often do, which is one of the reasons why we see so many wrongful convictions getting overturned with DNA or other evidence. Wednesday, May 09, 2012. A Sophisticated Rhetorician Intoxicated By The Exuberance Of My Own Verbosity. Wednesday, April 02, 2014. Italy - Day 4 (continued). After leaving Vatican City, we hit a couple other points of interest in Rome, none of which I really remember too well now. But here are some photos:. I really liked these flowers at a restaurant in one of the plazas. The Trevi fountain. I filled up my water bottle here - well, at one of the spigots off to the side - and it was quite good. A Sophisticated Rhetorician Intoxicated By The Exuberance Of My Own Verbosity. Saturday, August 11, 2012. One service offered by ldssingles.com is a matching program that uses Science to find people who have compatible personalities and attitudes about religion, family, finances, which spouse should do the dishes, etc. As a firm believer in Science, I naturally had to fill out a profile myself. Or, even more probably, we'd both decide to fly to the other's continent, barely missing each other at the airp...

A Sophisticated Rhetorician Intoxicated By The Exuberance Of My Own Verbosity. Sunday, March 30, 2014. Italy - Day 4. Our first full day in Rome was the day that I decided to be the one to make dumb decisions. Well, I didn't exactly decide to do so ahead of time, but that's the way it turned out. Let's just keep talking about it and hope that suddenly we'll be able to make an informed decision even though we won't have acquired any more information.". Yep, that was about it. The outside was pretty, t...
