Visited on 08 2014. In 1971 two new pavilions were built for two living groups. Later a daycare group was opened. In 2011 the court started an investigation following a complaint about sexual abuse by nuns in the 50s and 60s. In 2008 one wing was abandoned, today this wing is renovated. This is an old girls nursing school in the center of a Belgium city. The old building had been abandoned somewhere in the mid 1990s. It was constructed in 1865 and first used as a nursery school. Later it became a secondary school for girls. In 1943 the buildings housed a nursing high school for girls. The school has some great architecture. Not only the facade, but the inner court covered under a glass roof is a highlight of this location. Tour & Taxis. Hospice des Vieillards de Nivelles.

Sunday, August 31, 2008. Trees, Carpets. and Fish. Yeah, that's it, kinda about it. Some days, good. Some days, bad. I started out with a sketch that I grew quite fond off. But when I coloured it, everything went awry. I called it quits after an hour or two, for it seemed a damned waste to keep screwing up like that. Later I made a. well, what is it, really? Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Well, two weeks later it is! The exam went alright, I managed to stay within the time limit I was told to work with. (actually, I made my presentation for 10 minutes, expecting to be long-winded enough to fill 20, which I nailed nearly to the second.). It's pretty mean, but I can understand their reasoning. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Wondrous, divine, unrivaled sweet sweet coffee. How I love thee! It's really a bad, bad thing. It's all part of the process but I want to be done with it. I underestimated the remaining work that needed to be done on my book. Most books that I used for reference points in size, layout and subject are all extremely small compared to the stunt I'm pulling. I'm so stupid. How could I possibly think that numbering pages in Photoshop would be done in a jiffy? This is not Word!

Welcome to my Urbex page. I am new to Urbex (Urban Exploration) I mainly got interested in it when photographing in unusual places and later researching them. I have now started specifically exploring and photographing interesting places. I have only a few reports listed at the moment and hope to add to them over the weeks. Being a mature explorer I will be sticking to some of the less exciting explores and leave the tower cranes etc to the younger ones but I hope my explores are still interesting.
