Mapepe Medical Mission Outreach. In May 2009, Tiny Tim and Friends joined the Mapepe Bible college on their medical mission to the central district of Zambia. Tiny Tim and Friends recently held a series of outreach clinics at NGombe Compound in Zambia. Overall approximately 200 children and 50 adults were tested. How Tiny Tim and Friends Makes a Difference. Provides comprehensive medical care to HIV orphans as well as pregnant women, including the provision of life-saving ARV medications.

AIDS kills up to 400 people a day in Zambia. AIDS has orphaned over 1 million children in Zambia. 75% of all Zambian families are caring for at least one orphan. 50% of all Zambian children under the age of 15 have lost one parent to AIDS. More than 50% of all hospital beds in Zambia are now occupied by HIV-related cases. Regionally, about a million children urgently need AIDS medications or face imminent death; currently, less than 20% of these children are finding their way to treatment.
