Sunday, December 15, 2013. Solar pop can heater. This is the heater I built before heading south. 144 black pop cans in a box the size of a sliding glass door. Air going in at 60 out at 127 degrees. Not bad for Nov 1 in Washington. 190 degrees in the top if the box. Fan clicks on at 100 degrees and is powered by a small solar panel. Solar cooking and relaxing in So Cal. Lake Shasta was really low when we went thru. Thousands of mirrors shine on the tower to produce electricity. Wind and solar in one spot.

Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Traveling around Washington for awhile. Went to the beach for a week to see the Fireworks at Quinalt Beach Casino then up around Forks. We are now 1/2 owners of a small sail boat with some very good friends near Port Townsend. We will be going to Canada to see the Three Dog Night Concert in a few weeks. Friday, April 15, 2011. 2 lb Pork Roast after 2 hrs a little overcooked in good sun. Internal temp. 202, Oven temp 297. Cooked 1 lb hamburger 1 and 1/2. Hrs Drained grease. Added water, turnips,. 1 onion, handfull baby carrots, cup of cut corn, 1/2 veggie boullion. Cube, johnnies seasoning salt, pepper, minced garlic. Mixed it all together, put it in the roaster with full sun. Took. Three hours but well worth the wait. Steaming hot. ready to eat. I didn't use any propane and. It didn't overheat the camper.
