http://buildacpu.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 22, 2010. A couple more photos to show what things are looking like. Links to this post. Sunday, March 21, 2010. I've reached one (of many) important milestones this evening: the program counter is now counting! It's surprising how much work it takes just to arrange four 4-bit counters and extract the resulting 16-bit address. But it's working! This accomplishment is important for a couple of reasons, because it proves a number of ideas that I will be using going forward:. Frankly I'm not s...

Exploring the lower frontier of the troposphere. Originally conceived the rocket, did all the mechanical design and fabrication, built some of the electronics components, and shared (with Jeremy) the job of writing the rocket's operating system and application software. Designed and fabricated most of the electronics, and co-wrote (with Jon) the operating system and application software. Grandma Jan created the flight suits. Boeing Surplus. Sadly, they're gone now. The Telly Terminator
http://olivernash.org/2010/01/03/the-telly-terminator/index.html
I received an interesting gift recently. It is a universal IR remote control which can be used to turn a large number of televisions/VCRs etc. on or off and it calls itself the Telly Terminator (strongly suggesting that the "off", rather than the "on", function seems to be the intended use of this little device). Obviously a Major Malfunction...: February 2013
http://adamsblog.aperturelabs.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Obviously a Major Malfunction. Random musings that would otherwise have no means of escape from my head. Monday, 18 February 2013. HDCP is dead. Long live HDCP. A peek into the curious world of HDMI copy protection. I must confess, I'm confused! How can I put this? So why, then, is it still being shoved down my throat? Why is it that if I go to iTunes to buy or rent a movie, it will tell me that my PC must support HDCP? Why does my home theatre amp need to support HDCP? Come on in, the HDCP's lovely!
