Thursday, 28 February 2013. Sally and Ann's Excellent Adventure 50: Happy swimmer. I didn't ask this man's name, but we chatted for a while as we rested between laps. We were both enjoying the water at Dee Why pool. He agreed to let me take his photo. He was visiting with his children and nephews. They were having fun teaching the little one to balance on a boogie board in the small pool. They were lovely kids, having a great day out. Links to this post. Sydney Daily Photo: Sprinter
http://sydneynearlydailyphot.blogspot.com/2014/09/sprinter.html
Monday, 15 September 2014. From time to time there is discussion about the inappropriateness of the 'four seasons' model in much of Australia. It's certainly not appropriate in Sydney. Spring started in my garden at least a month ago. Aboriginal people around the country had different seasonal models (see link below). Dr Tim Entwistle of Sydney's Botanic Gardens proposes a five season model:. Summer: December, January, February, March. Autumn: April, May. Winter: June, July. Sprinter: August, September.

http://sydneynearlydailyphot.blogspot.com/2006/07/kitesurfing-botany-bay.html
Sunday, 16 July 2006. Kitesurfing, Botany Bay. Saturday was cold and wet, and also windy - perfect for these kitesurfers out on Botany Bay. The two women in the foreground were out walking and, like me, stopped to take a look. It reminded me of a visit we made once to Tarifa, in Spain, a mecca for wind-propelled water sports of all kinds. You can see some more shots here. 15 July, 2006 23:26. If you haven't seen it, then you'll think my question is crazy. 16 July, 2006 04:15. 16 July, 2006 08:30. Bookcha...
