Life in Utsunomiya: April 2008
http://jarodjuriga.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 21, 2008. So I'm heading up to Utsunomiya. Today after spending my first weekend in Japan in Tokyo. Tokyo is big, hectic, and lively. It's neat to experience it and just be around here for a few days, but it's more of a place I'd like to visit rather than live. I've enjoyed my time here this weekend, but I'm ready to go on up to Utsunomiya. And get settled into the city which is to be my new home. Anyway, here is a couple of pics from my time in Tokyo this weekend. Entrance to Meiji Shrine.

Life in Utsunomiya: June 2008

Thursday, June 12, 2008. Language Study and Driving Test. So I've begun to settle into a little rhythm here in Utsunomiya. I finally got my apartment setup so that it's a little more livable. I don't need much to live on and so I don't think I'll ever amass too much in the apartment, but at least it actually does look like someone lives in it now. I'm also learning a little more about the city the longer I'm here as well. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment:. The castle with the moat surrounding it.

Saturday, January 26, 2008. I had a chance to make a trip down to Texas last week to see some friends before I head off to Virginia for orientation in early February. I stayed with the pastor's family whose church I attended while in seminary. The Sanders family is the most amazing family EVER! I found myself at times just sitting among them watching and listening to them interact with one another. I've never been a hugely family. Ay, here's some pictures from the week. One of Summer's goals is to get th...

Please keep in prayer my and Ri chan's friends Hi chan, Eri chan and Nao chan. Before everyone left I gave them each a Jesus Manga (comic book), which is basically the new testament with incredible Japanese anime. Pray pray that the Lord would open their hearts to receive our great message. Thursday, September 18, 2008. Thank you sooooooo much for praying for Ya chan!
