Many students don’t know about the tobacco and nicotine found in products like hookahs and electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes). Since e-cigarettes in particular are relatively new to the market, there are still a lot of unknowns about the dangers they pose. No matter how you consume it, the nicotine found in these alternative tobacco products (ATPs) is just as addictive as the nicotine in traditional cigarettes. It gets clingy! A Smoker is a Smoker. Even if you “only smoke when you drink” or “only smoke on the weekends,” you’re still a smoker. This campaign is great for reminding students about that one simple fact: A smoker is a smoker. “Casual” or “occasional” smoking can lead you down the slippery slope to nicotine addiction, so it’s better to never start in the first place. Smoking is prohibited in buildings on campus.
