Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure.: A National Identity Crisis that Involved Green Hot Pants.
http://ginamccune.blogspot.com/2009/04/national-identity-crisis-that-involved.html
Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure. Monday, 27 April 2009. A National Identity Crisis that Involved Green Hot Pants. Today we left Westport and headed to our next destination – the Poo Pub. Yup. That’s right, the Poo Pub, which isn’t the most pleasant name for a pub, but it was actually a really great place! The pub is near Lake Mahinapua (Maa-he-nea-poo-a), hence the nickname, Poo Pub – nobody can say Mahinapua! But I’m getting ahead of myself. First we made a stop in Greymouth. 8221; – I had an idea in ...

Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure.: May 2015
http://ginamccune.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure. Sunday, 31 May 2015. Our time in Munich has come to an end. We made the most of the free breakfast and after the usual last minute checks we were off to the airport and headed for England. When we first arrived in Munich I wasn’t sure that I’d like it - it was big and busy but it grew on me. In a relatively short period of time we managed to see and do an awful lot but I’ll definitley be back to see what else Germany has to offer. Castle on a Cloud. We got a tram, a train and...

My Mental Oddities: January 2010
http://mymentaloddities.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Finally embracing the semester. So I have decided to finally participate in the semester. I can't seem to just drift through. I wish I could. Instead I find myself googling images in a word association-esque drift through what may be the next level of collective human consciousness to gather pictures for my notes and scraps. I wish I could draw. It would cost less. So look for that soon. Yeah and I'll post some of the pictures as soon as I figure out how. Sunday, January 3, 2010.

My Mental Oddities: February 2011

Sunday, February 20, 2011. Stuff I'm Excited About. Hello old friend it's been a while. I've been off doing stuff and trying to be a better me, reconciling what I can't re-do and trying to move into the future. I thought after such a long hiatus that I'd just start with a simple list of stuff I'm excited about for various reasons. I've fallen in love with VegWeb. It's amazing. Such a great easy resource for families, singles etc. I spend a lot of time reading the Dharma. Talks at the Deer Park Monastery.

My Mental Oddities: November 2010
http://mymentaloddities.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 28, 2010. Here are the TVP Tacos I've been promising to my friends. I've invited dear Chef to guest blog since he's the one who made this delicious awesomeness possible. :). Start off putting 2 Cups TVP into a largeish bowl and set aside. Measure 1/4 Cup Kitchen Bouquet in a 2 Cup (or larger measuring cup). Top off the liquid to 2 Cups with water. Mix in 1/3 Cup taco seasoning. Commercial works (I will add a recipe soon for mine. much cheaper). And bring to a boil. Eldest did the fruit a...

My Mental Oddities: April 2011
http://mymentaloddities.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 10, 2011. Save green while going green. I don't eat animals for many reasons, the environment being my #2 reason (right behind #1 it's icky). I am aware of all the ethical reasons not to eat animals but I know ethics are a hard sell when you're trying to feed a family so, largely, I don't bother talking about that part. If you would like to research the industrial food process and it's many, many problems please watch: Earthlings. The Story of Stuff. Tea Tree Oil base: Tea Tree is a natural...

Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure.: December 2013
http://ginamccune.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure. Tuesday, 24 December 2013. December has been a busy month but we have managed to fit in a few adventures. Not surprisingly several of these adventures have involved food but not just any food – burgers! It feels like you're in New York but you're in a hutong in Beijing! The church itself was very impressive and there was a nice mix of westerners and Chinese people, there were even nuns! On the way home we walked through a few busy hutongs which reminded me that even though we...

Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure.: Little House on the Mountain
http://ginamccune.blogspot.com/2015/07/little-house-on-mountain.html
Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure. Sunday, 19 July 2015. Little House on the Mountain. Unfortunately our time in Charltons has come to an end – it’s probably for the best, I was getting a little bit too used to my fluffy white robe and swimming in the pool. We packed up, checked out, stopped in Banff for some cash and then we were off. The check in at our next hotel didn’t open until four so we decided to stop off at Johnson’s Canyon. When I was tired of beating Rory (he might say he won but that’s defin...

Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure.: Hello Christchurch.
http://ginamccune.blogspot.com/2009/06/hello-christchurch.html
Tiny Netbook. Big Adventure. Monday, 8 June 2009. Today we drove from Queenstown to Christchurch! Tiggs, Gemma, Shane and I were all able to get on the same bus which was nice and we had a girl driver, who was very nice and only slightly crazy! To go slightly off topic - this is for anyone that was on my Geography Field Trip down the Peninsula – remember when I saw those Elephants in the garden in Greyabbey and nobody believed me? Remember how I went on about it for days? One of The Boys. The Good, The B...
