Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Sebastian is eight now, and it was quite a shock to me when I was told in the beginning of this school year that he will attend his first communion in May. I remember my first communion:the dress, the hairdo, the artificial white lily all girls were holding as a symbol of innocence, the priest's ornate robe, the smells and sounds of the church. Getting ready. It is Sebastian's first suit. Little bit of encouragement goes a long way. Group photo opportunity that was almost missed.

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Yesterday I had a phone call from the Lions Foundation - Dog Guides Canada, informing me that we were matched with a service dog. When it happened my heart skipped: our family is about to expand by 50% percent. How exiting! It will happen in June. I will have to go for a week of training and bonding with the dog.
