Maize and Blog: Pre-Season Preview
http://maize-and-blog.blogspot.com/2008/06/what-do-you-get-when-program-introduces.html
Can't Stop. Won't Stop. Tuesday, June 17, 2008. What do you get when a program introduces a new coach, a new system, and loses not only their most prolific rusher and passer in school history, but the #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft as well? Ladies and gents, say hello to your 2008 Michigan Wolverines. To label this past off-season as tumultuous for this Michigan program would be a vast understatement. Chad Henne, Mike Hart, Jake Long? They’re all gone. However, as bleak as it seems, all is not lost.

Maize and Blog: Bleacher Report Q&A
http://maize-and-blog.blogspot.com/2008/06/bleacher-report-q.html
Can't Stop. Won't Stop. Saturday, June 21, 2008. I was recently asked by an editor over at Bleacher Report to answer some questions on the upcoming season, so of course I had to oblige. Q: You have said Steven Threet will be starting at QB. How do you see Rich Rodriguez using him this year, and will freshman Justin Feagin earn much playing time? Playing time next season running draws and option plays, to provide the inexperienced Michigan offense a different look from when Threet is under center. Are eit...

No Sleep 'til Ann Arbor: December 2008
http://nstaa.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Not all bars are good for this study technique, but the following provide a good atmosphere (fairly quiet, WiFi access, etc.):. BTB Cantina: Food, WiFi, fairly inexpensive (but terrible) beer. Other than nights (post 10pm) Thursdays and Fridays, this is a pretty good study spot, otherwise, it get's pretty loud, but there are nice couches. Mitch's, Heidelberg, Conor O'Neil's, Rick's (honestly, if you needed me to mention that, you should probably euthinize yourself), GTC's in th...

No Sleep 'til Ann Arbor: National Craft Beer Week
http://nstaa.blogspot.com/2009/05/national-craft-beer-week.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2009. National Craft Beer Week. You'd think we would be the first people to know, but the first 3 days of National Craft Beer Week. Have already passed us by, and we didn't discover it until today. In the Ann Arbor area, that probably necessitates visits to some of the microbreweries/brewpubs in town:. The "official" celebration ends the 17th, so have a few craft beers before Monday rolls around. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). National Craft Beer Week. East Lansing - A Comparison.

No Sleep 'til Ann Arbor: Good Time Charley's
http://nstaa.blogspot.com/2008/09/good-time-charleys.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2008. 1140 S. University (corner of South U. and Church). Charley's has karaoke on Tuesdays, supplied by DJ Stoo. What to say about GTC's? The only real negative I can say about Chuck's is that after 10pm on Thursday-Saturday, it's pretty packed. Expect to wait in line to get in, unless you plan to arrive at 9:30 or earlier, and don't expect to get a table, either, especially when it gets colder. The 'Longest Islands' at Charley's are quite popular. It's a giant mason jar (it...

No Sleep 'til Ann Arbor: April 2009
http://nstaa.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 24, 2009. The Real) Cinco de Mayo. Well, Mexican Independence is coming up, so BTB's normal. Deal on the 5th of the month gets extended. As I hear it, the festivities will be starting at 3pm, instead of 5pm, $.50 shots of Cuervo and $1 bottles to start. Given that school will be out and significant number of the students who stay in town over the summer are the ones who go out to the bar, this event will again be packed. Friday, April 3, 2009. Monday: $3 60oz pitchers of High Life. I give M...
